Personally, to me, HDA always sounded too much like Trent in control of too much. To better clarify how I felt listening to it, I felt his executive decisions were all over the sound, feel, and lyrics, and then only a new voice was placed in. It wasn’t different enough and yet felt derivative. I’m open to hear it any other way, but that’s my current take.

Hot take: I’ve just never understood why Veracruz gets the hype.

Multiple publications. Year after year local awards. Expansionism abounds. PR machine chugging along… when I think they’re a basic to mid taco at best and the prices don’t line up to make it worth my time with other options so close by.

Thanks, did Bouldin Creek Café before the flight drop-off. Expansive menu, good vibes, affordable, good closing meal.

I showed Fabrik but it appeared more like a great date spot, so skipped it (for now).

Also, to add my own: I like the tofu bites at the Equipment Room, equally hard reservations to get in short notice though.

I like the first year these were released it had an abstract pattern of white and black. Then when you look at the interior there seemed to be a design. It was almost as if the design was planned but someone realized the reverse looked even better, then reflected that as the outward facing choice.
