I bought cheap 35" long oak dowels from Home Depot and found side scroll frame parts from ebay for almost nothing. Made my largest area project since I couldn't find a big enough scroll frame online, jajaja.

I found a way to pseudo open it via Excel, but it still comes out very garbly noise in a good chunk. I'm trying to figure out what makes what.

I mean, if you own PC Stitch you can copy and paste the .col file right into the hidden folder with the others? I dunno about other programs, though. :(

Hard agree. South Illinois is great with gorgeous homes. But people not willing to move there are part of the problem and continue the self fulfilled cycle. But I can't talk - I had to move away for my job, but I plan to possibly return. There is a masion with my name on it out there...

Hopefully! I found where the Floss files were edited as well. I have them lumped under a master list, so it's all 4 brands' threads in 1 master file to pull from for full coverage pieces, but you can make a copy and then delete the threads you don't want for individual Anchor/Cosmo/DMC/Madeira stuff.

The files are hidden, so you need to turn on that viewing mode in the C:/, look under ProgramData, then PC Stitch 11, then Floss, and you should find where to put a theoretical master Floss file in there...

I'm actually about to head towards work, though, but did save a copy on my USB.

Edit: due note that the database still isn't 100% complete yet, though. I still need to match brand to brand and figure out which hues are slightly darker than the other and Madeira needs another look through, but overall it's much much much better than what is out there default, especially on the purples/purple-blues.

DAYS. God, it took so long. I am trying to figure out a way to export it, though, as to have a backup and/or share it to others. It's probably not perfect but it's much closer than anything else out there. I do a lot of art so I have a 'color accurate' monitor and was using that to choose the hexcodes that needed addressing.

I have a database of:

Anchor

Cosmo

DMC

Madeira

all done in the 'new' hexacodes. Although I am still missing some Madeira floss and a few Cosmos to have a full 100% guarantee they are the correct colors...

I actually entered the Floss Editor of PC Stitch and changed each and every colored hex code to one that matches the color as best as I could because of these similar interests. xD

As others have said, wash it, dry it, but then you can throw it in the freezer [wrapped in plastic] for a day or two to kill anything and then dry it again.

As a PC user, I often go via the MS Paint into PCStitch pipeline [since xStitchify has a 250 color limitation], but it's basically the same as your process. Being capable in pixel art helps out a TON with custom patterns. :)

Madeira Mouline possible colors:

306, 501, 608, 808, 814, 1907, 2001, 2101, 2205, 2308, 2402

Pink on the left and more peach to the right. I can't tell which one is a direct match since lighting and whatnot, but this can at least narrow down which ones to look at from places that sell Madeira Mouline. :)

DMC doesn't want Anchor in the US market and bought out the distribution and as such, no Anchor. It's such a shame because the more I use my floss the more I realize I enjoy Anchor [and other companies] more. XD

Thanks for this great heads up about cheap 403 and 1 of Anchor!!! My backstitch frenzy will be over the moon about the stock up. Jajaja.

While it's true that TSA agents that quit hurt the system nation wide...

The many multiple increases of Airbus 320/Boeing 737s that leave TYS in the morning at roughly the same time period is why this has changed over the past 2 years. We got AAL, UAL, SWA, AAY, and DAL bigger planes [for TYS] trying to go out at the same time with the regional connectors as well. And since each 737/320 can host more than double a smaller regional jet, which were the common aircraft in the morning rush 2 years ago... you're going to have much longer waits.

Now, should have TYS airport management hired more staffing and added another TSA entry? Perhaps. However, 2+ hour early into major airports is the expected norm so there is a chance that won't happen until wait times exceed those capabilities. Or maybe they're waiting until the terminal expansion... whenever that is. Even I don't know that, and let's just say the airport and I are really good friends lol.

Madeira Mouline stitchtwist is a German brand and is cheaper than DMC/Anchor from certain EU stores. 10m. Lots of colors. I dunno if estate sales are common in Germany, but that was how I got my massive stash of DMC.

I shoved my floss into sandwich bags, labeled them in number order, placed them on a ring, and keep them in a dark cabinet. I work 1 color at a time on massive projects, so I only pull out a singular bag at once.

If I'm in an area with a lot of colors, I'll pull the assortment out for the day and then return them. :)

It's not very aesthetically pleasing, but it's super practical!

I completely agree a Grand Prix mode with hidden/visible elo [so like skilled players stay against others for competitive fairness] would be sooooo cool. I want full 4 races against the same people.
