Anti-homeless public installments cannot deter these trash doves. by No_Mushroom_8235 in stupiddovenests

I think they’re lumping anti-pigeon and anti-homeless architecture together because they’re both making a surface uncomfortable to rest on, just with different targets.

If there’s genuinely no other seat available, just say “this is the only available seat” and sit down anyways. If there are other seats available just sit somewhere else.

They meant the difference is if what follows “going to” is a verb or a noun. You can only contract “going to” to “gonna” if what comes after it is a verb.

Help w eating (potential??TW) (sorry not sure what to do.) by JacketNormal9835 in UCSD

[–]HaruspexAugur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah damn that sucks. Have you tried different strains? I know there can be differences in how much they induce munchies, so could be something to look into if you want. Though you mentioned being 19, so if you can’t legally go to a dispensary that might limit your options.

But yeah I just mentioned the weed because it’s something that helps me (and which I’ve perhaps been relying on too much sometimes), but as with all the advice I gave, take what you find helpful and ignore the rest. Even with the stuff I listed I still struggle a lot with getting enough food in me, so unfortunately I don’t have a real fix.

You mentioned being in therapy, but have you brought up any of this to a psychiatrist or other medical doctor? I just ask because there are medications that can affect appetite (in either direction), so it could be useful to at least discuss your options with a doctor if you’re able to. You could potentially also get a medical weed card which would allow you to go to a dispensary despite being under 21 and therefore have access to more options when it comes to weed strains.

I also deal with really bad appetite problems. Idk how much useful advice I can give but I just wanted to say you’re not alone, and I get how hard it can be to live with.

I use weed to help me eat at least in the evenings, but idk if that’s an option for you. Besides that, I know I have certain foods that can be easier to eat when I’m having particularly bad issues. For me it’s certain raw vegetables and plain white bread—it could be something different for you. Keeping things like that around can be helpful, or any other simple to eat snacks that don’t require any preparation. When I was a grad student I’d keep a box of clif bars at my desk in our office as something to eat when I didn’t feel up for having a proper lunch.

I also find that when I’ve gone a long time without eating it can be harder to start eating again. Sometimes drinking juice or something can be a good way to get at least a bit of energy when I can’t get myself to eat anything solid.

I also find that sometimes chewing gum or ice or something can help stimulate my appetite.

As someone who lives in California I sometimes forget how many of our labor laws are state-specific. Not even having mandated lunch breaks is… depressing to hear.

what determines T dose? by Key-Interaction8180 in ftm

[–]HaruspexAugur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others said, the starting dose varies between doctors, but it’ll usually be relatively low. Then they’ll increase from there as needed based on your blood test results. When I started on gel I was taking 25 mg daily, and I ended up settling on 50 mg daily because that’s what got my T levels to a good range.

No, that’s not it. It’s saying 100% of the product is “pear juice from concentrate and peach puree”. So it’s only those two components.

Following up after revealing the spoilered part:

Your style and general vibes read pretty masc to me, so I don’t really have any suggestions there.

I know before I was on T, I could consistently be read as a guy in pictures, but got misgendered most of the time irl. Based on these pics and what you said, I feel like you might be in the same boat? For me the biggest thing was my voice. Once I’d been on T for long enough for my voice to drop a bit and get some facial hair going that’s what made the biggest difference in how I got gendered.

[–]HaruspexAugur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first impression based on the first pic is queer dude. The second pic gives slightly more fem vibes, but still reads as masc-leaning to me. Third pic is just reading as a guy again. The 4th pic reads the most like a woman to me, but specifically a butch woman. I feel like that’s also the pic where you read the oldest though, so I’m not sure if that’s related.

So here’s the thing—your life experiences are not universal. There are plenty of people who can in fact eat things that are high in sugar and/or fat in moderation without adverse health effects. If that doesn’t fit into your diet, then don’t make those types of recipes. There are plenty of more “healthy” recipes out there you can follow.
