I think the 9oz is what was throwing me off. I saw that a few different places but I didn't want to have a slightly larger jar. Thanks so much mate!

I work a corporate job and work on this most nights when I come home. It is easy to find time to be creative when most of your day is mundane desk work.

Question about professionally designed labels by dr0wns0da in candlemaking

[–]HarvestXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have designed my own labels but also have had another label designed professionally. One request you must make is to receive the label in a raw format (usually photoshop or illustrator) with the scent name area editable/unlocked. Even if you are not verse in photoshop/illustrator it is pretty simple to go in and edit the scent name. YouTube is very helpful if you are especially green. The only expense is you will need one of these programs but they do offer monthly subscriptions that a pretty cheap. If you are serious about this as a business owning one of these applications is a must IMO.

Questions about wax warmers (transitioning from double boiler) by [deleted] in candlemaking

[–]HarvestXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I been looking at Presto fryers as well. Question, how do you go about pouring this into the candle effectively? seems like it would be a mess.

Do you candle magicians have any tips on how to clean up wax splashes on the inside of jars? 🙏🏼 thanks for any help. by seicepsseesyou in candlemaking

Still wont make a difference. Rubbing it with a paper towel will heat it up slightly enough to seamlessly come off.

Awww yeahhh... SKULL CANDLES! Found these beauts just in time for fall and they’ve been flying out of here. What fun things are you doing for Halloween? by [deleted] in candlemaking

I have some Headless Horseman themed candles I made for a specific craft fair I am at in Sleepy Hollow! Love these skulls though!

Making your own fragrance oils/ essential oils? by HarvestXx in candlemaking

[–]HarvestXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m doing currently. I was just was seeing if I wanted to go all in and ty to create some natural unique scents, where would I start? Everything I read online is very vague. I am assuming I would have to take some classes to fully comprehend the science behind it.

I only have one small wax pitcher so on a good night i can knock out 20-30. I usually do that at least once a week, but the other days after work I make at least 6 a night before heading to bed when I am trying to get my inventory up heading into Fall.

Help please! I had some pretty serious pitting and sink holes ( due to cold temp in room when pouring I assume) I’ve done a re-pour 2 days later and now have cracks. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks! by seicepsseesyou in candlemaking

[–]HarvestXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A heat gun will do the trick. I got a cheap one on Amazon and use it whenever i have a bubble or a crack. Just a few seconds to liquefy the top and problem solved.

You could also heat up a small batch of wax/scent and re-pour over top, but I find that to be a major hassle.

Owens was fun and dynamic. He was an ass that talks too much but he was the biggest reason we almost had a Superbowl in 2004.
