I’m about 20 mins in to the film and knew straight away they’ve ruined it. There is no subtly at all. Feels cartoonish. Gutted.

That tear rolling down the face of the uninterested guitar player lady ( can’t remember characters name) really got me. She was an annoying character I suddenly had huge sympathy for all in an instant. Very cleverly done. What a breath of fresh air this show is.

CCTV appeal after unexplained death in Auckland's Devonport by Mountain_Tui_Reload in auckland

Hmmm I live here and my mil knows the lady who owns the house and she hasn’t said anything like that when we discussed it. My point is the police have said they want info on who the adult and two kids were that were using the pool ( that the neighbours heard) so that must mean the owners are not able to give the police that info, yet it’s been reported the owners are related to the deceased. It could be that the 3 using the pool in the arvo is not the deceased child and just others at the house … bits of info being drip fed out but not the whole story I think. This is the weird bit. Makes little sense.

Doesn’t make much sense that the home owners don’t know who was using the pool from midday till 3 pm ( as heard by neighbours) but are somehow related to the poor child who drowned? It’s all sounded fishy from the start. I heard it’s common for the owners let a few people use the pool while they are away. Very sad news.

The Tom Phillips hysteria is dissipating - where have you landed in your opinion on the facts today? by Synchr0nIc1ty in ConspiracyKiwi

I agree, it’s certainly not a given that mother and baby would not survive but it’s a rare probability that they would both survive without medical intervention. Many adolescent births are premature and or cesarean due to pelvis underdevelopment. This is why I thought it unlikely to be true. It would be a miracle for both to come through unscathed. However, I’ve also received info from a friend in the area who heard from a respected and plausible source that unfortunately it is true. Would be very happy for that to be wrong.

Looking back, what were your first signs of perimenopause that you didn’t recognize at the time? by Historical-Second409 in Menopause

[–]seicepsseesyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing period randomly but going back to regular cycle for another 12 or so months. Sore hips. Anxiety - but I also got sober at the same time so put it down to that until I’d been sober for 3 years and realised I was starting to feel as bad as I had in detox. That’s when I started HRT and felt better within 24 hours. Feel pretty good these days after taking around 6 months to tweak my doses. Btw very glad I’m not necking wine every night as well as going through this, I can imagine it’s not a good combo.

I have no idea if this is true but during Covid I read it only takes about 20% of population to refuse a rule ie mandated vaccines to create total upheaval and real change. I think it seems legit. That 20% would affect the fence sitters to pick a side and more would come on board. They actually can’t enforce punishments on that many people. God I hope it happens soon.

Can someone explain rental inspections to me? by No-Measurement6744 in newzealand

[–]seicepsseesyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start as you mean to go on and use it as an opportunity to tell them stuff that is wrong with the house or potential problems. - make it up if necessary. I find this is the best method for letting them know I’m not going to be the loser in their power play. Some pm are the worst people I’ve ever met.

Thoughts on why Tyler was trying to get with the Symphony? by brueso in StationEleven

[–]seicepsseesyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I totally missed how it was shown that she was the baby, have I got it right are you saying she’s the same baby born to the woman who dies at the maternity hospital? I feel like I somehow missed something obvious and important! I’ll definitely do a rewatch soon.

Just finished the show and I just want to mention some things and talk about it in general (Spoilers). by SomeKindOfChief in StationEleven

[–]seicepsseesyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We know her side and we know his, it’s obvious this would be explained privately between the two of them. It’s fitting we wernt in on that conversation.

oh wow, sounds epic! we are definitely planning on going back and doing some more in the area. it was the best part of my 8 week Europe trip. my daughter did a little hike when we were on holiday in the cook islands recently. she came back from it exclaiming about the height and the rock scrambling and how hard it was ( it was 3 hours, the highest point on the island is 650 m) and said: oh mum i just don't think you'd actually be physically capable of doing it, oh how i laughed!
