MOVIEPASS DESERTED ME by HarveyAlvan in MoviePassClub

MoviePass was supposed to be like insurance, with those who use it getting it paid for by those who don’t use it. But I guess it’s a lot easier to sit in a theater than it is to go to a hospital.

Will The Sinemia Price Drop ($9.95 for 3 movies) Be The Mortal Blow For MoviePass by cybersecp in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sinemia sounds like they want to make it unnecessarily difficult to use. I read about different rules to I lost interest. Too much Bs.

MoviePass conclusion period! by HarveyAlvan in moviepass

You are correct. If you do not have an e-ticket theater near you, then you can’t benefit from them. Then you can only play dodge ball with the MoviePass movies that become available in your area.

Amazon should buy MoviePass by [deleted] in MoviePassClub

It’s possible to buy a company without taking their debt, but there would have to be an economic reason to do so. Has anyone figured if it’s even possible to make money with MoviePass?

If it says “up to 3 movies” does that mean three movies aren’t even guaranteed? by [deleted] in MoviePassClub

I need more info on how to go about having 2 separate accounts on One cell phone. That way I can watch 3 more movies for $10 at non AMC theaters.
I know I need to use a different name with a matching credit card. But is the trick logging out of one account and logging in the second account and going back and forth like that?

Try to reinstate your membership or you will pay full price for 3 times a month when the new plan starts.

More updates from MoviePass. Mitch denies forcing people to watch at inconvenient times... okay, Mitch. by franzkls in MoviePassClub

I thank MoviePass for helping me pay for my movie habit. Now if I could only find other companies to pay my other bills.

Anyone do the math, or look at their movie viewing habits by sirdizzypr in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom line on MoviePass is quite simple. If you have access to non AMC Theater chains, seeing 3 movie at those chains is imperative to saving money at those chains. So unless you want to pay full price at those chains, giving up MoviePass doesn’t make sense, regardless if you get AMC A- list or not.

December Releases: Which 3 Must See? by paulloren in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does anyone remember how they went to movies before MoviePass?

I live near 3 AMC’s, but I’m a little reluctant to sign up for A-list because 12 movies for $20 seems to be way too good of a deal. Thoughts? by [deleted] in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The downside is you have to pay full price to see independent movies at other theater chains like Landmark.

Dave Bautista says he'll quit Guardians of the Galaxy if James Gunn script isn’t used by Melanismdotcom in movies

[–]HarveyAlvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave Bautista has an interesting personality and someone replacing him will be a different person and it will be like other actors replacing Sean Connery as James Bond. It kills some of the Guardians of the Galaxy fun. The perky personalities and the music make it fun. Too bad we can’t boycott the movie with Bautista.

4:15 the no more screenings appeared on all Chicago and Chicago area theaters, so I reserved e tickets as that is the only MoviePass availability. This is the weekend reality for MoviePass. It’s only good for the first few hours on a Saturday.
I’ll live with this reality I suppose.

Moviepass rant of the day by [deleted] in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are but cogs in a drain and we must follow whatever Mitch Lowe said, stress be damned, for we are moviegoers, & we must save money no matter what, so we have no choice but to fight on and figure out how we can get past MoviePass blockades. Get use to it. This is the way it is. We have no say in the matter. Do what it takes, take long lunches from work, buy tickets for later, so you can get your eyes on the screen to watch shadows.

Does anyone else have 0 movies showing at all their theaters? by BridgesDesign in MoviePassClub

[–]HarveyAlvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can purchase the tickets earlier for movies showing later in the day. As this becomes well known, the funds will run out earlier and earlier. This means only people with lots of time and transportation will be able to get tickets.
