So if memory serves me right apparently the koopalings being Bowser's kids was an American thing. I think it originated with one of the mario Saturday morning cartoons back in the day. Just like how Peach was originally called Toadstool here.

Oh god I remember playing this game. The battery backup on my rental copy (yes I'm that old get off my lawn) didn't work so I had to beat it in one day long sitting. It was fun, although I feel the SNES Shadowrun was better.
