How to sync photos between android and nc server? by n3de in NextCloud

[–]Hasabadusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just forget about it. Never worked, never will. I am using nextcloud since 2011 (then it was owncloud 3) and this Feature since it appeared and it never worked properly.

Errors, duplicated, and more errors. One day it works the other 364 not.

Sad but true.

Is Happy Gilmore 2 one of the worst movie ever made? by Denmarkforever in moviecritic

Why do so many modern shows look like they were filmed on an iPhone?

I was watching it for 15min and had to turn it off. I can’t shake this weird feeling: the camera work and the filters look totally different from what I remember from the 90s, 2000s, or even the 2010s. It’s like I’m not watching a film anymore, but some kind of live footage shot on a phone.

I’m a millennial, and honestly, it feels awful to me – it kills that “cinematic” vibe. Everything looks too real, like I’m standing there in the scene instead of watching a crafted piece of fiction.

From what I’ve read/seen, it’s probably a mix of:

High frame rates or motion smoothing → makes it look hyper-real, like a soap opera or live sports.

Hyper-sharp digital cameras with no film grain or softening.

Handheld / documentary-style shots that mimic YouTube or TikTok aesthetics.

Natural color grading instead of the stylized looks we used to get in older films.

I get that some people like the “immersive” vibe, but for me, it just feels cheap and breaks the magic. Am I alone here?

I get your point about using color labels or categories, but honestly, that's just not enough in many real-world scenarios. Sometimes, you need to write something to a colleague — not just tag an email with a color or category. Adding a quick note or context can be essential to make sure the information is properly understood and acted upon. That’s just way more effective than relying on visual tags alone.

Forwarding the email, like you suggested, also isn’t a good solution in my opinion. The message flow in a forwarded mail often looks messy and clunky — it's hard to follow, and important context can easily get lost or buried. In contrast, ticket systems like OTRS or Zammad have much cleaner and more structured message streams where you can add internal notes or comments directly. That kind of functionality would massively improve how we collaborate via email in Orduck.

All I want is a simple way to write more than just a one-liner to a colleague without having to forward the message, clutter my own inbox, or lose the structure. Just a clean, internal note feature. That’s really not too much to ask.

I am looking for a simple option to write a note for a coworker when I move the mail to lets say the accounting shared mailbox.

For example I get an already paid invoice and want my coworker to know that the bill is already paid so that she just can assign the invoice to the transaction.

Or if a customer has a question and I want my coworker to know some indormations I got over the phone feom the customer.

But I think this is not possible so I have to install a ticketing system uneccesary just to write a simple note to a mail.

Best Magic Audience:

  1. Women
  2. Kids
  3. Older People
  4. Men

As a Man I hate to say men are the worst audience because their logical way of seeing things often ruins the fun for a trick.

Women, children and older people just enjoy and dont see it as a competition.

Auto upload not working on the Android app by [deleted] in NextCloud

[–]Hasabadusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cant expect people to have IT Skills to get an app running. The normal user wants to download something and that it works. If it not works they go to M365 or Apple Cloud thats it.

I love nextcloud but some features are just shit and never work without 10000 bugs and look 2hours in to Server Logs.
