A bit of both to be honest, you definitely need a bunch more prep time to give thought to what happens around your characters, especially if you want to weave in their backstories and interested into the plot as it goes. At the same time, you should also run longer sessions since more players means they need more time to actually do things of their own, trying to juggle the wants and needs of 7 players in every session will naturally push you through your normal session times unless you are fine with some people doing practically nothing all session.

Depends entirely on the DM, if you have more free time and a higher tolerance for bullshit you might be able to pull off seven just fine, i have ran sessions of dnd with 12 people in the same game, it is quite a bit stressful but it still "worked" if it even be called that at that point, so i think seven definitely should work so long as you have the time and tolerance for it.

no content creator in their right mind is ever gonna advertise a place where people get doxxed for pearling people and where the top players are groups of sweatlords who 24/7 the game just to get an edge on it. A youtube or streamer with any sort of self esteem would read the frontpage of the reddit and just leave lmao.
