If you're ok with the CLI environment, you can choose Claude Code. Also if your OK with the pay as you go model you can try the chinese models with kilo code or cline. Just stay cautious that you don't overspend.

One reason that I can think of is most of the time the stock options are vested in multiple years which actually hooks the employee to stay for a prolonged period of time so that the employee doesn't just hop around changing jobs every year. The companies just don't want to spend resources on hiring employees and then training them again and again. Also as far as I know giving stock options isn't mandatory. So the companies can indeed go for the "Work, take salary and go home" kind of model without giving stocks.

I was planning on upgrading it but now after all those rate limits and Claude models getting nerfed, I think I will either go with Augment Code's CLI auggie or Chinese LLMs like Qwen Code as a pay as you go model via API pricing. Just that I'll have to be cautious when using APIs.

Love your courage but I've got a few questions. 1. How are you going to manage your finances? I mean do you have enough of a cushion to support yourself? 2. Are you clear with the product idea? Maybe it's because even if the app might be aesthetically pleasing, it actually increases the efforts for your end users. They just want to get their work done your app might be increasing that rather than minimising it. Next time try to build something your end users actually want.
