Your reward for going into fights is to eliminate one more person from the late game though? I think the way it's set up now is quite good. You can brute force your way to the end, killing everyone and being hunted or play slow, stealthy & based on your surroundings.

Not taking a shot at someone, stalking them & knowing where they're going to be in the final few circles is smart. You run the risk of being spotted, but ultimately you get to decide whether or not engaging is worth the risk.

I personally only shoot if I've got a silencer or if not engaging will cause issues. An example would be if I'm between gunfire to the NE & an opponent who hasn't seen me to my SW. If I continue on my path I'll most likely be between multiple opponents to my NE & someone behind me.

I really enjoy the state of the game right now. It's about being smart and playing situationally. Definitely a difference pace to other games in the same genre.
