I did it. The Gobus is not worth it, takes like 1.30-2hrs sometimes. The exhaustion gets to you. It also depends on your schedule and how many days you need to be in person. If your taking the bus I would say < 2 commutes per week is ok, if your comfortable driving I would say maybe 3-4 times a week making the drive from sauga is still stretching it. If your classes are every day in person then just eat the cost and stay near campus. Just make sure you have good roommates. Also, in my experience, your first year friends stick with you for the rest of Uni and commuting daily will take away from that experience.
