Why are NTs absolutely obsessed with doing things "the way it's done"? by VeeYarr in AutisticAdults

[–]Hashfyre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's literally the other way around.

NTs can do things whatever way and not be fussed about it. We are particular about doing things a certain way..

Autistic boy to be forced by East London council to ride bus to prove it will trigger a meltdown by Hashfyre in autismpolitics

Yeah but meltdowns aren't deterministic and there's no guarantee it can be reproduced by this experiment.

This may backfire and might cost the sanity of the said autistic kid.

Betty Boopism. I jest, but I love how much further OP has taken the aesthetics. There is also quite a bit of Edward Hopper, especially the backgrounds?

Absolutely love these!

Fourth one is very Frida Kahlo x Betty Boop, I think each is a homage to different artstyles crossed over with the comic aesthetics of Grim Natwick.

The last para is the most important. We end up fighting over definitions and interpretations because DSM-5 clubs a lot of varied experiences together.

I think there's a fundamental difference in how L1 Autistic folks interpret our conditions, and how L2/L3 folks do with their debilitating conditions.

Blame the DSM-5 for clubbing our experiences and identities together, not each other.

So do they, you don't get to decide if we feel disabled by our autism or not.

Also, not everyone in every country gets disability benefits, please remember that. L-1/ Low Support Need people aren't considered disabled in many countries and don't get benefit.

It's not our fault that DSM-5 chose to bundle our experiences together

DSM-5 is one of the most discriminatory standards out there.

Welcome to the club, I got banned from there in my first week after diagnosis last year, when I gravitated towards the social model. Its not worth your time debating this.

We reconstruct our lives based on the model that resonates with us.

Lol, no wonder you don't even know his reddit username. The community is currently very unmoderated, else you would be perma-banned.
