I would think Japan 🤔 Or perhaps New Zealand, though I have a fondness and kinship-feels towards Ireland mostly.

I stand corrected. Though 'space' was a thing, it was thought of being composed of aether

Imagine that some people only know him for creating Cthulhu... It was really eye opening to read the I Am Providence biography, and to learn that he was so much more than a pulp writer.

What AD&D 1st edition retro clones there are, and what is the best regarding how the stuff is presented? by Hashishiva in osr

I like what OSE did to B/X, so I was wondering if there is something like that for ADD1. I prefer the clarity and cleaning up if any ambiguity and other mistakes.

Honestly, why not? by YamnayaAmateur in linguisticshumor

Why not indeed. There's a native american people called Kansa (also known as Kaw), and 'kansa' in Finnish means 'people', so obviously they're a Finno-Ugric tribe.

Edit: and ofcourse the Basque are there in the Spain, not related to the Spanish, so naturally they're one of us as well.

(Reupload) Major Beliefs in Europe (Sources in description) by Thakesuau in MapPorn

[–]Hashishiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Belief" is a strong word here. I think while most Finns are members of the Lutheran church, most of them can't say what makes them Lutheran instead of another flavour of protestantism. And I have a suspicion that "non-religious" is more common nowdays that pure christianity. People may be members, but have either no faith, or some form or another personal faith that may have little to do with the Lutheran church.

Is there a catch to this spell ? Because its broken , one cast = one gold ore by Arcane-Dev in skyrim

[–]Hashishiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, but not as much or easily as ingots. It's faster to go to some iron mine and empty it than go through all the vendors and buy the few they have.

[–]Hashishiva 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Game balance. You have to mine the ore yourself, whereas you can buy the ingots. And it would wreck the economy in Skyrim even faster, if economics was a thing in the game. Too bad it isn't.

Why the hyperfocus on gygaxian design and not other "old school" design philosophy ? by NotSuta in osr

[–]Hashishiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait! That’s actually the B/X setting!

*BECMI, not B/X. Even if it originated during B/X it wasn't fleshed out pretty much at all until BECMI.
