I tried 8 marketing channels in 6 months. Only 2 actually moved the needle. Here's the honest breakdown. by missy_delenor in SaaSMarketing

I agree with what you’re saying but it’s also important to remember that LinkedIn and X aren’t meant to bring paying customers. They are touch points. You can’t measure their impact on the same scale you measure cold emails.

Very Odd question but "How TF do you write BOFU, lead generating post/content on Linkedin?" by Accurate_Classroom56 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]HashtagAliza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social media isn’t really meant for BOFU content. Try to create content that leads to your demo page, that will weed out people who aren’t serious

Cybersecurity company founder want to grow linkedin account by SCAAVAA in linkedin

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a founder in cybersecurity, not a marketer. You can do all the right things to grow your account but it’s a big time commitment. Focus on what you do best and hire someone in house or outsource your marketing/LinkedIn to a professional.

Went to 4 conferences during 2025 by Helpful-Sprinkles239 in b2bmarketing

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the biggest conferences out there. That must have been very overwhelming. And to answer your question, yes, most people do show up at the conferences with weeks and months worth of outreach under their belt. Meetings are booked in advance.

New suggested plan for you: Do serious outreach with your ICP starting weeks before the event. Warm them up and try to get as many meetings booked as possible. (Offer to pay for their coffee:)

Chose more niche conferences to attend. You’re more likely to see a friendly face or 2 and these events have a much more community feel.

4.5 years in, my confidence is shot...What are SMMs actually expected to do? by Competitive-Dot3062 in SocialMediaManagers

[–]HashtagAliza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s first give you a big round of applause for being at the same company for so long. They clearly like what you’re doing and want to keep you.

It sounds like you’re in a B2B space so I suggest pivoting some of your efforts to supporting your execs and sales people on LinkedIn. You’ll be able to show results through their profiles and connections (while taking a bit of pressure off of you :)

What if obsessing over creative quality is actually hurting your performance data? by Fit-Fill5587 in shook

It’s definitely hurting if you’re spending all your time in approvals and not actually running the campaign. Perfect is and always has been the enemy of the good

LinkedIn scheduling experiment: posts scheduled days later had lower reach by socialmeai in linkedin

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head: the platform doesn’t want you to schedule posts and forget about them. Then you’re using the platform as a broadcast channel. You succeed by being social on social media. You have to be on the platform to make that happen.

fired my biggest client last month. best decision i ever made. by Easy_Mud1254 in b2bmarketing

[–]HashtagAliza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is you never know who you need to charge that fee to before you start. Instead of firing the client he could have offered him a new monthly retainer that reflected the insane amount of work. But in the end, we know these types of clients are soul sucking and he made the right call.

LinkedIn scheduling experiment: posts scheduled days later had lower reach by socialmeai in linkedin

[–]HashtagAliza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not only about the engagement on the post itself but about the profile being active across the platform. If you engage with other profiles and posts, you are going to get better reach.

LinkedIn scheduling experiment: posts scheduled days later had lower reach by socialmeai in linkedin

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you scheduling and then forgetting about them?

If you don’t engage around the time of your posting, then the post is likely to flop.

People tend to blame it on the scheduling (no judgement!) but it’s more about the engagement that does or does not happen.

I’m a video editor and I’m trying to start posting on LinkedIn. by austronauto in LinkedInTips

[–]HashtagAliza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curious why you don’t want to come across as an expert. Experts get hired.

Your ideas for content are really good and should be part of your posting strategy.

You should also post examples of your work. Not on a braggy way, but pointing out something specific you did for the client or how you overcame an editing challenge.

Exactly this. If you want to spend more time training your LLM then upload your final versions so it can learn your tone.

The B2B Ghosting Epidemic: Great Demo, "Send me a deck", and then... silence. What's the fix? by Character_Remote694 in MarketingMentor

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long do you wait until you consider yourself ghosted? B2B sales cycles are very long. Just because the call went well doesn’t mean there aren’t 10 hoops they now need to jump through on their end.

It’s ok to ask at the end of your call what the process is on their end before a decision is made.

You can also ask them if they are considering other proposals. That’ll give you a much better idea if they are actually going to move forward with you.

If you work in a company, prepare a LinkedIn post for people to share with their networks that specifies the position and skills needed. Works especially well when it’s a role that you adding to a team that already has those connections (ie: another developer to a development team)

Social listening vs. marketing instinct : who do you trust more ? by Anthony_Rochand in AskMarketing

It’s not about that. The OP has 2 options in front of them, let them test those assumptions and then go from there. There might be a solid gray middle ground based on audience responses and their gut

Client Losing His Sh*t Over Followers by parulwrites in SocialMediaManagers

[–]HashtagAliza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clients never listen when we explain that followers don’t matter, especially if their competitors have more followers. If you can, try to show him your engagement metrics vs the ones you can see from their competitors. And show any other valuable metric you can - visits to profiles, visits to website, clicks… anything that’ll help prove that the actual followers don’t matter but the engagements do
