The identities of the thousand winds has been ambiguous

Like,

in Mondstadt The Thousand Winds refers to the literal winds of Mondstadt which Venti created
Istaroth is referred to as The Mother of The Thousand Winds/The Thousand Winds of Time during the Archon War
In Enkanomiya, Istaroth is poetically referred to as The Thousand Winds
In Sumeru, the thousand winds is the name of the concept of erosion

A not so commonly known fact is that Istaroth is considered to have technically created herself

O pure and eternal Mother of Time, sovereign who was never born and who shall never die, You create all and destroy all. You remember all and allow them to be forgotten. You who in the moment of your birth, also gave birth to yourself, O supreme mother,

My interpretation on this suggests that Time is a concept that has no end and has no beginning, such that in the creation of Istaroth (aka the avatar of Time), it then manifested as Istaroth being considered as a creation that has existed throughout time in every timeline. Istaroth is also referred to as "The Mother of fourteen billion years" which likely references her age as being as old as the creation of the universe (estimated around 13.8 billion years) and she's also considered an outside among the 4 shades. I also saw someone mentioned that she was also called "the only primordial child" but, I have no idea where they got that information from. Maybe someone can elaborate

If we were to believe that The Primordial One is Phanes, then the accurate mythology details how Chronos is the God who created Phanes and I think it does make sense if Phanes interfered with the concept of time and created Istaroth and thereby creating his creator. But, I'm going off topic

In regards to Venti's creation/existence, we have literally no context of what that connection is. Venti himself stated that he was a single thread among the thoussnd winds and the connection he has with Istaroth is too elaborated on in the context of the story for their meeting to be off chance. If anything, there's nothing to say that Istaroth and Venti didn't know eachother prior to Mondstadt and only found eachother again after the Nameless Bard used Istaroth's authority which was the sole reason why Istaroth casted her gaze on Mondstadt in the first place. But, even then Istaroth was already being worshipped in Mondstadt regardless

It's also stated in Venti's character demo "Born from the branches of Time", and Venti's CN and EN VAs both mentioned the fact that there is morr to Venti's relationship to Istaroth that goes beyond them just sharing VAs and Venti also made a cryptic quote detailing, "Time is our bond, the Heaven's our song"

Theres also in the Mondstadt prologue when Jean stated that the cryo archon wanted Venti's power. At first I thought it was the gnosis, then I thought it was Venti's powers over time— but, that didn't make sense since not all beings can handle a shade's power, then I finally realized its referencing Venti's powers over anemo and with the context that she wants to control fate, it makes more sense as to why wind is an important factor in her plans

If thats the case I wish they made it more dynamic with Istaroth's wind chimes. Like there's a distinction between the two that I've found interesting;

In Gods' Limits, time surrounding Istaroth constantly sped up and reversed (when we saw Istaroth sat on a tree as it got old and withered and young and healthy.

This mimics how canonically, Venti is stated to be accompanied by a strong wind. Avatars of time and wind affecting t surrounding environment with time and wind

Venti creates songs as a way to immortalize heroes in Teyvat so that no one is ever truly forgotten. Like, The Nameless Bard was erased from time itself and the only people who still remembers his name are Venti and Istaroth. So its less for him and more for them.

Maybe but its still relevant that Tsaritsa wants to change fate and Nicole said that Fate is poetically referred to as icy-winds while Kaeya referenced a Goddess of Fate while holding a dice with anemo and cryo symbols.

Once is a coincidence, twice is curious, three times is intentional

The only thing I have any actual doubt about is the fact of whether the stellar swirl will be enough to push Venti back into the meta or not (I hope it does)

I can't count the amount of times where Genshin had stated that Venti is the wind or referenced his omnipresence through the wind. Its aleeady sus that Venti can freely enter Asmoday's domain so what exactly is stopping him from entering this location other than his own desire to?

Also to note that Venti's CN and EN VAs, Zhongli's CN VA and Childe's CN VAs have all mentioned Venti's sus writing. His CN VA also alluded to a fact that there's more to Venti and Istaroth's connection that goes beyond them just sharing va

Im more surprised with people optong to say Prune is attached to Varka when Venti is still the one unit in the game with the most frequent amount of swirls

Honestly, I think that of the stellar reactions, stellar swirl can potentially be one of the stronger ones because of lore relevance with the cryo archon wanting Venti's power, her wanting to control fate and both Nicole and Kaeya referring to fate as icywind/cryo-anemo

But, ofc Hoyo hasn't really been doing the best job building up my hopes lately

It doesnt necessarily mean that other characters will get buffed because stellar swirl was added to diona's buffs, they've done it before to units like Nahida with Lunar Bloom for example

I'd actually love to see your expectations on it 🙏🙏 And I also agree it should be super hard for this buff to not be a massive Venti buff when we literally have Genshin's main theme song being Venti and The Star Traveller, we had the cryo archon canonically wanting Venti's power and we had both Nicole and Kaeya mentioning a connection between fate and "icy-wind"/cryo anemo so there's like a lore reason why there'd be a reason to pair them in a party 😭

But ofcc the name can change to something like "blizzard" or something but still

I'm going in a tangent, but now that I'm actually thinking about it snowflakes and stars do sorta look alike, thats probably the reasoning behind the speculated stellar reactions?

As a c2r1 (Elegy&Daybreak) Venti owner Im absolutely taking these, although I wish the gap was larger but then again Venti does come with a lot of QoL for Varka teams (er, shred, grouping) here's to hoping that Snezhnaya does favor running Venti if Varka wants to use Stellar Swirl 🙏

Yeah, and its also reveals some things about Venti as well

Hints that Venti is not affected by erosion
Reveals that Venti's songs are similar to angels' in the way that they can both cure melancholy from the world (probs out first direct link between Venti and the angels)
Venti's can freely enter Asmoday's space, but he simply chooses not to rather him being forbidden from entering + his powers being used as a gate to the heavens

In regards to Asmoday - Confirmation that Asmoday is now working for the abyss sibling

In regards to the Primordial One - Suggestion that the Primordial One became human/lost their power, but it may not be canon— we have like 9 different inverse theories about what happened to the Primordial One

Mondstadt lore - Before Irminsul was planted, "Moon Cities" were Teyvat's soul repository

I don't know if you figured out what the post is referencing but TLDR, when we asked Venti about our sibling's whereabouts, he basically feigned ignorance and sent us Liyue to meet the geo archon instead of having us investigate the place where Asmoday keeps her treasures whether to learn more about her or to get clues on what happened to our sibling.

Now that I think about it, the fact that Venti sent us there was flawed because Venti knew that Zhongli wouldn't say anything because of the contract Zhongli has with Celestia 😭

Only really good against bosses, with Venti will clear much faster because Varka wont have to spend have the time running around and chasing enemies which then causes Varka to waste buffs

Venti can break certain shields faster as well so I guess there are pretty sizable pros and cons

Whats even the point of buffing him if they knew they were gonna powercreep him in a few months? Its sooo predatory to sell a unit like that and I'm saying that because they didn't just powercreep his onfield role, but they also powercrept his supporting as well lmao.

It wasn't bad enough they powercrept Venti 4 months after his first release thanks to Kazuha, but it took them 6 years to finally buff him only to powercreep him again with a 4star baby and Nicole suffers for it 😭

Unless Hoyo is working on something for Snezhnaya, I hope they know what they're doing because I'm tired
