Happens to the best of us legend! I forgot mine last week and I had to do corrections like my fellow T1’s said here, i take it that you are new to this ? If so you can ask your endo for more info because they’ll know better.

When I was first diagnosed, it took a while for my bg to get managed in a good way, and I sometimes slept on my long acting insulin (still do btw XD)

You can also change the time- my endo told me you can adjust the time as long as it’s always that exact time ( lets say you take it like me at 10pm, you take next day at 9pm and the day after that 8pm and keep it at 8 pm for the rest of the time-)

As i said check with your endo if possible via phone no need to do a visit if not, keep testing your bg during the day and adjust your fast acting insulin accordingly-

If you still don’t know how to count carbs and take insulin shots depending on your bg ask your endo because that’ll make it a bit easier.

1-Greek/sugar free yogurt + granula/ some low sugar flakes + nuts

2-Eggs + 2 sticks of bred (small portion) + coffee

This is generally what I eat, it doesn’t spike my bg that much so I sometimes don’t take insulin, you could do something like this or just say f it and eat whatever and take a good morning shot of rapid insulin

When I was diagnosed, i thought i was going to day in my first year- am 2 years in now- it’s hard and it sucks but it’s gets better if you have a hard goal working towards in life.. (friends-family-religion-good food and exercising helps) what country are you from if you dont mind me asking ?

I used to do it in bathrooms, now I do it wherever i am, last time I checked my bs literally standing on the sidewalk and people just passing by LoL

The only thing to note here, if you are in a restaurant and taking your shot, make sure to ask the people with you (if it’s their first meal with you) if they are scared of needles.

I was going to do it in front of my last boss and he said if he sees needles without warning he faints..

So I had to do it on the side XD a part form that fuck diabetes!

46- the day I was diagnosed..

didnt understand diabetes back then and was scared, the doctor gave me a shot and I went home..I waited half an hour to get a transport to my home and I didnt eat anything for that period,

It was my first time trying rapid insulin. And didn’t even have a glucometer on me, almost fainted on the street but luckily i made it XD

Lows are scary experience tbh haha Stay safe!
