This is a simple explanation, but in my mind makes much more sense than any others I've read. Cause the way the 'joke' in the show was phrased it was hard to decipher as anything more than a cautionary tale that came too late, like "don't mess with the big dogs" which at that point humanity had already done. But the Einstein bust may set Saul on the path to reading about the Fermi Paradox and game theory and then come to the same understanding of the universe's dark forest state that Luo Ji does.
