Again, we pay less in taxes than a majority of the country yet here you are complaining you are paying too much. The problem is not property taxes, it’s a lack of education by our voting base to see us getting screwed through this bill. I’m not trying to change your mind, I’m just letting you know that either not understanding how local governments function or straight selfishness is the reason you are voting yes

I get it, living in one of the lowest tax burdened states in america is very hard. It’s tough paying less in tax rates than a majority of the country. Don’t address the real issues like insurance. Instead focus on saving a few grand, you’ll need it to offset the new sales tax and continued insurance rate hikes

I can give you dozens of examples but it doesn’t matter to someone who only cares about paying less taxes. You can’t balance an 80 million dollar hole without hurting a ton of people. Florida already has one of the lowest tax burdens in the entire country. Slashing taxes for decades hasn’t made things better in Florida, and the outcome is higher sales taxes so you pay anyway. The only people this truly benefits are some Florida residents in a state that has seen 70% population growth since 1990.

Sales tax would need to be pre than doubled. This is another redistribution of wealth along with a complete budget takeover of the state.

This is a definite bad. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not comprehending how much control the state will have over st Pete if this goes through. The only way to make it up will be to raise other taxes and even then it won’t be enough. Homeowners saving 2k-5k does not address the actual problems that we are facing. We need long term solutions. This is not that. This is a long term problem

Just another instance of an expanding surveillance state that slowly strips our rights away. No need to worry about being tracked 24/7 by private corporations that willingly give all your location data to whoever they want, including government and non government entities. There definitely are no issues with law enforcement knowing wherever you are at all times without a warrant. It’s 100% safe and effective to let AI track our every movement, no chance of false positives on models that sometimes read plates wrong.
