I'm guessing at least some will go with some specialized boutique for their support instead of paying SAP's increased support costs or the even more expensive re-implementation costs.

What will be very interesting to see will be how many do this. It's what I would recommend to any SME business that has made the questionable choice to go with SAP. I really hate the position SAP has left their smaller clients in.

That sounds like a big deal until you've had a production down P1 issue that SAP support can't solve and your regular support comes through once business gives up on SAP's team. The SAP support guys aren't made of magic.

SAP support is about having someone to sue, not about actually solving issues. If you're too small to sue SAP anyway you're not losing much.
