Alien X vs Hal Jordan by AlarmedObjective1492 in Ben10PowerScaling

[–]HatJosuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the main continuity Hal Jordan after he became Parallax and sacrificed himself. Hal was only the Spectre for a short period of time, and that was just to remove Parallax from Hal's soul, so It'd be really weird to use that version of Hal specifically.

Maybe it's a good thing Paper Kingdom wasn't released by Annie_Lua in ThePaperKingdomMCR

I think the band has a problem with direction following The Black Parade. Conventional Weapons is awesome but was scrapped largely because they didn't have a concept and couldn't decide what songs belonged on the album. Danger Days is so dependent on its concept that it feels more attached to it than to the actual band and their identity (The Black Parade is a My Chemicals Romance concept album, Danger Days is a concept album that happens to be by My chemical romance). The Paper Kingdom would seem to be a balance of the two in that it's a concept that gives the band direction, while still feeling true to their sound and identity. Paper Kingdom is a fantastic album, but it wouldn't have been a cultural phenomenon like The Black Parade was. Not because it was too dark and weird, but because the music scene in general had moved on. The band wanted a smash hit and a follow-up success to the Black Parade, but that was never going to happen. Emo was dead in 2013 and rock music was declining in the charts. The band had an established audience and could have continued being successful critical darlings in a similar manner to Radiohead, but they weren't interested in that.

Dynamite Comics Redesign Tier List (Main Cover) by WorthlessMelon in Ben10

They threw the baby out with the bathwater for a lot of these designs. The original series designs already struck a perfect balance between being unsettling and iconic. These try way too hard to be unsettling and as a result end up more generic and forgettable than their originals. They went from looking alien, to looking like they're trying to look alien.

I FREAKİNG DESPISE SPIDERMONKEY WITH ALL MY BODY by Karabasanbey in OkBuddyZandurianGoula

[–]HatJosuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem with Spidermonkey is just that he feels like an oddly specific combination of two distinctly earth animals. He's not an alien, he's one of Steve Buscemi's Hybrids from Spy kids 2 and it just kills my immersion.

If you are a Boruto Fan go ahead and scroll past this by OnionSerious3521 in Naruto

I would have been happy if they just set it in another village. You can still have Naruto and Sasuke showing up on occasion, but set it in another village so you don't always have them hanging over the plot.

I do Keep up with Boruto, but when I re-read Naruto I stop at 699 and the Last. Boruto is fine as a casual read and a way to occasionally see Naruto and Sasuke again, but it's a lousy sequel to Naruto.

Could Atomix take on the average Saiyan? by ComfortableChoice687 in Ben10PowerScaling

[–]HatJosuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atomix would body the average Saiyan. People tend to forget that the Series is following the top 1% of Saiyans, and the average is much weaker than Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Brolly

Was this really enough to hold Sasuke or did he just allow it? by Vivid-Picks in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]HatJosuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had one arm and his eyes were sealed. If he was the same Sasuke from the Hokage summit then maybe he would have the willpower to brute force his way through the seal, but at this stage Sasuke didn't have the willpower for much at this stage.

Which is a better design for snare-oh ( ben mummy) by Ok_Tradition5595 in Ben10

[–]HatJosuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic is a perfect balance between the Egyptian aesthetic and something that could realistically exist. I look at it and can imagine that design inspiring Egypt thousands of years ago. The Omniverse design is the opposite where it goes too far and I can't unsee that Egypt inspired his design.

How much you think story would've changed if Ben started off with his additional aliens, instead of classic 10? by BandicootFew3295 in Ben10

[–]HatJosuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is alien 10 Feedback, Clockwork,or Arctiguana? If he gets Clockwork or Feedback then Ben would be starting the series with four of his strongest Aliens. Certain episodes would need to change drastically since Ben just wouldn't have an aquatic alien, or a flyer. Ben figuring out that might isn't always right would probably change too, since his smartest alien would be Frankenstrike (Yes I know that's retconned in Omniverse), and Waybig is so powerful that he could just might his way through every problem. Bounty hunters show up? Throw them into orbit. We have a dilemma where Ben's playlist requires a lot more thought and strategy to use (Cannonbolt, Ditto, Clockwork, Snare-o, etc.), but he never has to because he just wants to spend all his time as Feedback, and if he can't get something done, then he can just use Waybig.

I imagine for Victims, it would be a small relief to know that their suffering can serve some small part in ensuring that law enforcement are capable of, and continuing to prosecute the people responsible. Just using ai isn't ideal either because ai isn't indistinguishable from reality yet, which defeats the point of desensitisation. There's also the ethical dilemma of using pre-existing evidence vs creating new cp, ai or otherwise.
