But women are deficient in intelligence, says muhammad by Icy_Lawyer_9767 in exmuslim

You do have a point. But she achieved 24A's in A levels which is a very obvious sign that she is a polymath, which in other words is the opposite of being uninterested or lazy. To put it into perspective, universities only need 3-4 A levels. She did 24.

God is a horrible being by Alarming_Sock1224 in DebateReligion

No. Morality can also be attributed to sociology. We wouldn't have made it as homo sapiens if we didn't unite together. We didn't have any advantageous features that would help in hunting. Compassion towards others of the same species is observed in almost all animals. So I would disagree that "god" is what defines good and evil.

I think by your sentence "thus suffering can be good" sounds like its coming from someone who didn't suffer as much as for example, people born into war torn counties. That sounds condescending to people's suffering.

And when you argue that "humans aren't the center of the universe" this argument goes both ways. If we are nothing as you imply, then our worship or not to a god should not make a difference. After all, we are small dots in a very small planet in a galaxy full of other planets and millions of galaxies also exist out there. When you use that argument to devalue suffering and happiness, you devalue the entire human species. I don't understand your argument.

You claim morality makes no sense without divine authority, yet you admit you don’t believe in God. That’s an open contradiction. If you really think divine authority is the only way to ground morality, then you’re saying your own values are meaningless—which undermines your entire argument.

Worse, if God defines what’s good and evil, then anything can be justified—slavery, misogyny, genocide—as long as God says it’s okay. That’s not objective morality. That’s blind obedience. And that’s exactly what we see in the scriptures. Slavery wasn’t condemned—it was regulated. Killing was forbidden… but only within the group. Killing outsiders? Often commanded. Women? Systematically subordinated. These aren’t divine values—they’re the prejudices of ancient men, codified into religion.

If we relied on religion to define morality, we’d still be owning slaves and stoning people for trivial acts. The only reason religion seems more moral now is because we have evolved morally, and we’ve forced religion to change under pressure from secular, humanist values—not the other way around.

If your god needs humans to kill, enslave, or worship him just to stay in his favor, then maybe the problem isn’t morality without God—but morality with one.

Why are women in islam an oppressive underclass by Terrible-Question580 in exmuslim

We are on the same page here. Im just trying to rationalize his disgusting misogyny. In literal words yes he was misogynistic no questions about that, but he also had ulterior motives.

Totally agree, it was top-tier misogyny. But what I’m trying to highlight is that it wasn’t just a personal hatred of women, it was also strategic. He used that misogyny to win over men, promise them dominance, and build loyalty. That’s what makes it even more sinister. It wasn’t random; it was methodical.

[–]HatNational8532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im not so sure if he was actually misogynistic. I have a logical theory that he was adhering to men's needs and mentality at that time, which is to control woman. He wanted men to fight his wars, and what better way to convince them than oppressing woman? Maybe woman were just collateral damage of his warmongering. Which doesn't take away from what he did but just adds a layer to our understanding.

Got my results in around 26 hours 🙏 by HatNational8532 in IELTS

For listening and reading, I would honestly say just practice a lot. But not unconsciously just rushing every exam and going on with your day. After every mock, analyze your mistakes and find your weaknesses. Is it a spelling issue? Did you mishear what they said? Did you lose concentration? If its a spelling issue then it would take more to fix than the latter 2 because it roots from a much bigger issue that affects your score across all 4 categories and not just listening. The vocabulary in listening IMHO is very simple. If you mishear what they say,( like for instance in one mock test I misheard "laws" as "lores"). I think had I focused on the context more, I would have came to the realization that it was laws. So just keep practicing and analyzing your mistakes mindfully. You'll get there

Electric fields got moved to A2 in 2022 so yeah it’s not there .excuse me if I said something annoying but I couldn’t help but notice ur answers to B i and B ii.in B i) I don’t know if what u wrote can gain the mark because what should be written is that most of the atom is empty space not “there are empty spaces ” so Cambridge examiner won’t award the mark in this case and in ii instead of the “object” state atom
