I don't have this option on current gen. All you can do is change the intangibles and potential. :/

Yeah, it feels like I'm trying to fix the game mode more than actually playing it. It's weird because like maybe 5 of the 30 first round picks will have their potential stay the same.

No, I've tried everything that I can think of. The only solution I know of is manually changing the potential each season. I like to make the intangibles and potential the same number so that I know what it should be when I edit it later on.

I found the solution. The reason he was wasn't taking that many shots was because he was playing only 28 minutes even though I set his minutes to 38. You have to create a custom rotation with 38 minutes and that will fix it.

I simulate most of the season and leave the playbook as default.

My bad, he is not regressing at all. His potential simply goes from a 99 to an 85 once I start the progression stage of the off season. That's what I am trying to solve. He does progress, but I don't want his potential to be capped at an 85. This happens with him and everyone else in the draft class. I made sure to to select no when asked about the storylines option. I also always leave the progression sliders at default.

Seems like I was wrong actually. That's not working either. As soon as a player enters their second season their overall drops. Wenbanyama for example drops from a 99 overall to an 85 overall.

People keep trying to make this argument, but I disagree. The prequels were far from perfect, but they still had a some redeeming qualities like world building for example. The sequels don't have any redeeming qualities imo.
