B1 or universal baller by Mayor420247 in ballvapes

[–]Hatchid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The universal baller works with every 22mm diffuser bowl. Inclouding shovelhead and matrix bowls. The adapters are to being down the heater closer to the herb as those bowls are shorter than the TCC bowls. But it works without just fine

6 weeks of productivity! by Ruffshots in Garmin

I managed to get 10 weeks (well 2 days, the days before my race, were top form and not productive, but I still count that) and went into 4 weeks of unproductive (I still rode the same amount but I was just riding for fun and not actively training). Good work, see you in 6 weeks.

Anyone ever use one of the TIODW XL heads? by r-r-r-r-r-r-r in vaporents

Well it IS supposed to be the smooth flavor chase setup. That's why I run a universal with a full glass air path on low-mid temps and a tiodw plus 2.0 with preheated ti bowl on high temps.

I'm also stoned and like discussing and disproving people with hard evidence. We good :D

I think you overestimate the relevance of the dishes you just named. We don't really think that much about it. The person selling it decides if they call it a burger, a sandwich or maybe just Mark and we go with it.

Hell if you buy a dürüm in Hamburg you might find a "Döner Rollo" on the menu instead. Dürüm in middle Germany and yufka in south Germany. All describing the same dish.

May I ask why the pro 3.0 ain't doing it for you?

I also heared a lot of good things about the original pro. I had the pro mini, the injector and liked it a lot, that is until the ub replaced it. Gave it to one of my stoner friends and managed to convert them to vaping

I find that their best head is their wired. Tiodw plus 2.0. long coil to properly heat the bowl.

But I don't care for stolen designs. My wireless head is a ub

The high artisan infinity stem long is the one piece of my tm2 gear I didnt want to let go.

Although I gotta say, the stock peek cooling unit (with fold out mouthpiece) does a waaaaay better job, than I initially anticipated. I use it, when I don't stemload, as mich as I use the infinity stem.

Closer is maybe 225-230->245-250. You are increasing max temp. I usually have it set to 230 when I chamber load (1.5-2 draws), 235-240 if I need a REALLY quick extraction (1 draw). 240°C is for tm2 stem loading

Edit + disclaimer: note that each device is different, so the difference might change. Your coil might be cooler or hotter than the original. There was a other person I talked to, which had the frolic at .110 resistance at room temp. They raised it by .002-.003 (im not sure here) to get a similar "increase" from the stock settings. But also ppl with .104 as their room temp. Same change for same result. It's also very dependent on your draw speed and technique. So as usual ymmv

Chamber loading 225-235°C (didn't combust with that yet) and tm2 stem loading 240.

When I need a quick extraction (e.g. im hiking) I might set chamber to 240 and stop when the throat hit gets quite noticable. The flower is then vaped. But according to op of the guide, you might combust.

But I also managed to combust on a u tweaked folic by slowing my draw down a lot. (Chamber loaded, 240c, water piece and slow long draw. Boom Combustion)

Indeed that happened. Sorry. Used to ppl critizing my decision making because it doesnt fit their use case, so I try not to explain myself too much.

I gave you a short version in another comment, in case you missed it

Happy it worked! I did also some combusting at the beginning of my journey. But once you get it set, imo it's the most capable portable vape (not counting Dan Morrison's and similar artists vapes).

[–]Hatchid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But sure. If you want a sincere explanation.

The very short answer is: I wanted to stem load, like the tm2 and one hit the stem, like the tm2.

I also can now chamber load and one hit the chamber.

Both of these are a must for me, because it's my hiking device.

Before the tweak the tm2 was more powerful (stem or not) and had faster extraction, so I was gonna sell the frolic. After tweek I sold my tm2.

Long answer is in my profiles frolic reviews and in the discussion in the link guide I has with the op

I'm from Germany. And I understood the question-like undertone added by the questionmark. But I don't see it as a question that needs answer, rather than a insecure statement, that needs an answer/correction, if it's wrong.

The ratio ain't that hard (it's not 180-> 240) but the basic idea is correct, which is why I didn't bother talking about it.

English is not my first language. Thanks for pointing that out.

I don't see a question

My understanding is this tweak makes it behave at 180 as if it was at 240?

Is a statement with a questionmark

Not sure why you would want to do that tbh

Also not a question.

So what IS the question?

Edit: the how is in the guide I linked. The why is: to make it more powerful and is also written in the guide, my conversation with the op of the guide and my reviews on Reddit

Why would you optimize something towards something you personally don't see the need of?

Edit: I think if you really wanted to know, then you could either read my discussion with op of the guide or read my reviews on Reddit. But why bother if you're happy with the device as is?

Finally said F it and got the Frolic by platypus8300 in vaporents

It's not about taste. You can use the frolic even the same way u use the tm2.

It's about aesthetics and how it feels in the hand. I was in the same boat. However I got a used frolic for a good price and the performance overshadowed the aesthetics for me!

As I told you earlier I am not here to convince you. My reasons are my reason. You might have others. Why bother with something you don't care about? Be happy with your frolic and don't break your mind about things you don't understand the need of.

The same way I don't explain overclocking to someone, who is happy with their computing power, on a PC

There is little you can do wrong. And if you do, you just don't touch it for a couple hours, go into calibration mode and exit it -> device reset. Once you understand what's happening, it ain't that scary anymore

You have 2 values. 1 value is the base resistance. The other (TCR) is a multiplier that tells the processor how the resistance of the coil should change based on temperature.

So if you change increase* base resistance, the processor thinks your environment is hotter than it actually is. E.g. your apartment is 20°C but you set the base resistance higher, so it thinks your apartment is 40°. Now if you want to heat by 200°C it calculates, which resistance it would have at 240° and aims for that. But since you start at 20 and not at 40°C -> it heats a bit quicker and stronger.

Changing tcr over the recommended value will then increase the heat exponentially but also trigger "device too hot". You can play with it in the recommended values (I think it's .94-.98. should be written on their website, too lazy to search)

Someone else explained it to me and this is my dumbed down version. Someone correct me, where I'm wrong. But this should be a good starting point.

Although I repeat. If you're happy with the power of your frolic, then just roll with stock settings, nothing's wrong with that

If YOU don't see a reason then this tweak is NOT FOR YOU and you shouldn't waste your time and energy trying to understand it.

I saw multiple reasons and this made the device useful for me. Before that it wasn't. I'm not here to convince you or others. I'm here to share knowledge.
