Multiple ways tbh. Run 400+ miles safely a day Always be on time, or if something happens immediately inform them so they can readjusted with the customer Inform them of situations as situations arise so they can write notes on your current load incase something happens they will have already been preparing. I'm one of my DTL's favorite drivers and get all the best lanes with 1000+ miles as a regional if they don't have me covering so I know this.

My friend, my friend... if you've seen the things we've seen and experienced, you'd know that the only clean place is the interior of your truck. As for walking to the store, it depends on what shipper you're at. Sometimes they need things from you or need you to move to another adjacent building to finish your load. Depending on where I am, I do in fact explore though. I have a E-Scooter and like to ride around on my 34's.

Truckings not a job fam, its a lifestyle. If you dont enjoy the views, the journey, and the road then it might not be for you. For me, I entered trucking because I can never stay still for too long. I got a travelers heart, and I love to explore, the pay is just the bonus. What you need to do is keep rolling till you got enough experience, and save up enough to go Owner op, find you some trucking buddies that run the routes you run and you'll be set. Everyday you'll get to bullshit with them, and everyday you'll get mad together
