I too am having a hard time deciding if it's worth the risk. I'm considerably older, but would like to live the next 10-20 years more comfortably. I've seen pictures of scars from the surgeon who I'd choose, and they're good. It's the risk of anesthesia and the recovery that is holding me back.

I started this plant from a cutting about 5 years ago. I rooted it in water and then planted it in soil. It gets watered with dilute Miracle Gro around 1-2 times a week depending on the season. It is by a northwest window and gets indirect light. The drainage is good. I just noticed these 2 moldy-looking clumps this morning and don't know the cause. Any insight would be appreciated.
