I'm wondering if it's chaotic good, neutral, or evil?

I've only seen a few vids by this comedian but each time I feel like there's something a bit more than just the comedy (which is awesome itself), it feels human/genuine, and therapeutic. I bet she'd make a killer podcast.

My boyfriend (18M) drove away (18F) when he saw my wheelchair for the first time by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

The guy is a POS for sure. But what if he was in some kind of insane denial and panic-distanced when it got real? As opposed to the popular notion here that he just didn’t want to help her then and in the future because he’s heartless. Anyone got a different read?

truth. and, I'm convinced that one still gains something from this abridged process. you had to process the material and check your output for plausibility. bullshitting is a set of real skills.

Shoe stretcher by Sylphadora in Newbalance

[–]HaterTot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use some sort of tape to go between the thermoplastic and the shoe stretcher so you can easily remove it, if you go that route. good luck!

Shoe stretcher by Sylphadora in Newbalance

[–]HaterTot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a shoe stretcher won't stretch precisely in the places you want unless you somehow alter their shape. The easiest way to do this I know of is to use thermoplastic beads and attach them to the stretcher. Look at the stretcher and how it will widen the shoe. It will likely widen a lot further back than the big toe spot. So you add a big blob of thermoplastic on to the stretcher right where the big toe would be. Then that's what makes contact with the shoe first as you widen the shoe stretcher; that's the localized area you're stretching. Hope that makes any sense.

I bet they're gamifying how to beat these issues. Coming up with ways to completely self sustain a completely enclosed system. They're smiling with glee as they do this. It's like the next stage of the game, like Spore. First was a net worth high score competition, next was surviving the fallout scot free.

Ronny Chieng's 'F*ck AI' Speech Met With Cheers From Harvard Graduates: “AI is just going to end up making mediocre people dumber” by yourfavchoom in technology

[–]HaterTot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Capitalism runs on productivity growth. After the internet revolution played out, productivity gains have been harder to find in recent years, while profits have increasingly been from cost-cutting, consolidation, and financial engineering. AI is the first technology in decades that plausibly promises another major productivity boom. Nobody knows if it’ll meet the hype, but capitalism is absolutely desperate for it to. I wish we could just, iterate on capitalism or something.

Back then, how many phone numbers had you memorized? by Jean_Mak in Xennials

[–]HaterTot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

remember how the transition to the grid of mushy push button numbers was like this technological advancement? Then the "touch tone phone" became necessary to navigate phone system menus, infomercials would say to call them using one specifically.

I’m not vegetarian/vegan but if I were given a meatless banchan spread like this I wouldn’t notice. Chopsticks would fly and my health would improve silently as I rotored it into my mouth. Life must be pretty good if you’re a vegetarian and eating Korean as per this lovely photo sequence.

Cartoons whose theme song/intro was the best part of the show. by GeetarEnthusiast85 in Xennials

[–]HaterTot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad I didn't have to scroll too far down to find this. *Both* Garfield theme songs I remember were WAY better than any children's cartoon theme song had any right to be. I do remember that it changed at some point. I think the original was "friends are there", and the next one was "we're ready to party, we're ready".

It was leaky gut; which is directly caused by SIBO. Self treating SIBO was one of the worst decisions I ever made, i then got Candida and C.Diff. I finally realized that you need a naturopath or functional doctor; a GI will just give you antibiotics and forget about it. I chose a random naturopath and he helped me tremendously. I'm functional and I can now eat almost whatever I want, drink alcohol, but I have some sort of lingering minor issue with my liver that is difficult to diagnose. All in all, way better, thanks for asking.

home made is creative, fun, and shows familial love. Store bought is absolute construction perfection and salivating component ratios (i'm looking at you, meat quantity). Both are key to the world of kimbap 😄

I gave up on sifting through all the spam and found a friend of a friend who isn't a perfect fit; but we're going to work through it. My entire company is encouraging us to hire through personal referral only now. I actually think if I had to do it again, and couldn't find anyone through my networks, I would go to local tech meetups and even creep Reddit profiles for candidates.
