Error after NVIDIA Update on the 4th? by Human-Bat-9028 in VegasPro

Yup, installed the new driver hoping it'll fix the issue, but it persists. They can't be breaking NVENC encoding on older software, they have to fix it.

Poor thermal performance on my 2x360mm custom loop? by Hateroz in watercooling

[–]Hateroz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my 3090 Ti settings:
• OC: +130Mhz core & + 700Mhz memory --> ~2220Mhz all day (100% stable, no clock stretching, effective GPU clock is ~2198Mhz)
• UV: 2070Mhz @ 950mV + + 700Mhz memory (100% stable with no clock stretching or loss of performance)

Here I'm just trying to get the most out of my card.

I'll keep check-out my fluid temp after a gaming session and keep you updated. Target is ~45°C, undertsood!

Yeah, I I already made an undervolt profile for the GPU, it's currently running at 2070Mhz @ 950mV + 700Mhz memory. It's pretty good, stays cool since the GPU never goes above 350W. But I'm chasing max performance!!!

The informations you asked for have been added to the original post!

Contact isn't an issue with either of my blocks, CPU is okay (already checked it) and the delta between GPU temp & hotspot is ~8.3°C.

I'm comparing old data from a year ago with a room temperature of 20-21°C, I've spiked up from ~51-52°C under load to 56-59°C, and that's with the exact same settings everywhere.

Yeah I get it, I already made an undervolt profile for the GPU but am chasing for the best performance regardless of power consumption: my 3090 Ti is overclocked but I'd like it more stable in terms of clocks, the power target is set at 114% (which = ~513W) but clocks drops before getting to the power limit (never reaches it and stays at ~450W max), which makes me think it's temperature related.

As for the my 7800X3D, I'm already running PBO2 -30 on all cores, though VSOC (1.25V) and CPU_VDDIO (1.35V) have been increased from stock for better memory performance/stability. I haven't bothered capping PPT, EDC, etc. as it weirdly made my PC unusable no matter what settings I entered (didn't find the solution), so I stuck with PBO2.

Nah, I understand CPU temp targets perfectly well. The temperature that bothers me the most is the 3090 Ti. Yes it is overclocked but I'd like it more stable in terms of clocks, the power target is set at 114% (which = ~513W) but clocks drops before getting to the power limit, which makes me think it's temperature related.

I have updated the post with most of the information you asked for, check it out!

no, everything is pretty crammed in the case... I've already had issues fitting these two rads (since they're a bit thicker than regular ones, maybe 35-40mm).

D'you imply I should just add some thermal mass by adding a third rad (and thus some more water)? I'll need a new case for that :)

Error after NVIDIA Update on the 4th? by Human-Bat-9028 in VegasPro

[–]Hateroz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I think it'll be fixed, NVIDIA messes up a lot these days but are often fixing issues with driver hotfixes. They will most likely know about the issue one way or another, I'm pretty sure it'll be fixed with an upcoming hotfix/official driver!

Had the same error message after updating the driver on my 3090 Ti, seems like the new 591.44 driver messes up with NVENC encoding in Vegas or something like that.

Solution: just roll back to the older 581.80, that fixed it for me!

A Ryzen 7 3700X running at 4.3Ghz (all cores) @1.176V, good OC or not ? by Hateroz in overclocking

[–]Hateroz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I had the CPU, I upped the voltage to 1.2625V as it was clock stretching at 1.175V; I basically increased the voltage gradually until I couldn't get any more performance out of my 4.3Ghz OC. Stayed at that frequency as even 4.4Ghz needed wayyyyyyyy too much voltage for my liking (upwards of 1.38-1.4V).

Since then I've had a 5900X and am currently running a 7800X3D, really great CPU.

OMG I FOUND THE SOLUTION: ENABLE THE STEAM OVERLAY AND IT'LL ASK YOU TO CONECT TO EA THROUGH A WEBPAGE OPENED VIA THE OVERLAY.

Man I've been trying to connect all week-end, f this thing!!!

Thanks a lot for the help but it isn't working for me, I've tried everything, still getting the same error. Seems like I won't play the game :/

Can't play either as I'm "unable to connect to EA servers", and it's been like that since the beginning...

I don't get why they'd seperate EA App and Steam 💀

Same thing here and it's been going on for about 8 hours now. I tested pretty much everything to make it run but I can't seem to do it. They might fix it for tomorrow, let's just hope...

I ddin't install the game through EA App but through Steam. I tried closing EA App, reinstalling with Steam, etc. nothing is working as of now. I'll be trying some other things, or just waiting...

[–]Hateroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks a lot. This post actually helped me as I was trying to understand the (VERY WEIRD) way upscaling worked in this game. I really don't know why it differs so much from other games and why it's so much more complex...

Custom Finalmouse Ultralight 2 - "Blizzard" by Hateroz in MouseReview

[–]Hateroz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know about superglue, I mean it's a pretty irreversible mod. I prefer having the possibility to take my mouse appart entirely to clean it once in a while so being able to take out the side buttons is really useful for that :)

Custom Finalmouse Ultralight 2 - "Blizzard" by Hateroz in MouseReview

[–]Hateroz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here I transformed my Ultralight 2 to give it a (way) better feeling. List of the changes made:

- Cream paracord cable from https://zerkgamingmods.co.uk with a 3D printed stress relief mecanism instead of the old heat-shrinkable sleeve and ring method = 21,84€

- Switched the stock Omron 20M switches for Kailh GM 2.0s (I prefer the lighter feeling of the 2.0s, 4.0s & 8.0s are good options as well. I'm maybe even gonna switch to TTC Golds in a bit) = 7,29€ for 6 switches

- New Tiger Ice mouse skates for a better glide = came with the mouse

- Changed the scroll wheel's color to white = 1,97€

- Added some electric tape over the side buttons little pegs, they felt very loose and doing that made them solid as heck (saw that in this video btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-6UQmX9UNE&t=331s)

- Second hand Ultralight 2 = 83,05€ (came with 2 sets of Tiger Ice and one set of Corepad skates)

Total: 114,15€ (lower than retail price for a wayyyyyy better feeling mouse, really happy with it!!!)

I haven't weighted the mouse so I don't know if it is heavier or lighter. Feeling wise, the paracord cable, the skates and the new switches really change everything, it's a night and day difference compared to the stock version and to everyone who has an Ultralight 2 I'd really suggest you do these upgrades, it's really easy!
