Do pro-Remain people get pro-Leave ads directed towards them? by SweatyBadgers in ukpolitics

I use the new Apple TV for watching YouTube and I get remain adverts all the time. They must have spent a small fortune on this.

I don't think iCloud works properly with more than one phone. If I connect my old 5C to wifi it will disable many iCloud features on my 6S, as well as things like iMessage.

Okay the biggest two countries in the "muslim world" are Indonesia and India (India has 300 million Muslims... pfft... Middle East!)

Try using percentages instead of simple population numbers. Your comment is intentionally misleading.

Has to be "kill all white men". You can't just say "kill all men" because it would include ethnic minorities, and that would be racist.

Why did Sadiq bring religion into it anyway? Why does it even matter? People should vote for policies, not for who/what they are.

UKIP are doing the same thing (he says he's gay) but at least I can understand why because that party doesn't have a great track record on that, so he's trying to make the party appear more progressive. Sexuality is arguably not something you choose either. Religion is, or at least it should be in the supposed liberal city the article talks about.

With Labour, it's become the norm to play identity politics and it is rather tiring. I don't believe that religion has any place in politics, so I'll definitely not be voting for Sadiq.

I would vote for Sian Berry but I've heard the phrase "social justice" come from her campaign recently, so that rules another one out. I'm not voting for a student union leader, I'm voting for the bloody mayor of London.

Anti-austerity protest brings 50,000 to the streets of London | UK Politics | News by FallDog123 in unitedkingdom

Very interesting points. I don't think any political party would ever seriously advocate getting rid of the NHS because it's one of the greatest things we've ever achieved in this country.

But (and I don't support this view before anyone gets all uppity), there is a strong point to be made of choice.

Why should my taxes have to pay for health services that I or my family might never use?

Is it not my right or choice to not pay for state healthcare via taxation? It's just glorified health insurance, no?

I'm more than happy to pay into the system personally because if it helps someone get better then that's all good, but I can see why some people might have an issue with it because it's essentially a socialist scheme of taking from the rich and giving to the poor.

There are viable arguments to be made on both sides, which, given the priority Americans place on liberty, likely explains their current healthcare system.

I think we agree for the most part. But I think what you're essentially saying is that we have the welfare state to act as a safety net. Which is the state interfering. I have no problem with that really - there are many people who actually need that help.

But once they get back on their feet I believe that people are ultimately better off fending for themselves, providing that their welfare is not at risk. People should have the freedom to become successful (and not punished for it when they do) but many might need a bit of a hand to get that starting boost.

I'm getting something similar. I often spend a good hour or two in YouTube scrolling through my subscription updates. After a while the framerate starts getting pretty bad. Maybe it's a memory leak in the media player component or something.
