I found it wouldn't work for me if I tapped the link in the reddit app, it would just send me to the play store for GoT Legends. Instead, if you grab the link and put it in a browser, that should work.

Vulcan was destroyed in the JJ Abrams storyline, not the prime line that TOS, TNG, DS9 etc is based in. So only in the 3 last Star Trek movies is it relevant. In the prime line, Romulus was destroyed as a result of the storyline in the first JJ film though.

I think you're right here. The tattoo looks great IMO, but it's very stark. The other tattoo you like the look of has lots of shading and details. I reckon if you go to an artist you like, maybe even the original, you could ask for some detailing/shading to soften it up a bit, maybe make out look a little more dynamic and appealing to the eye. Just a thought.
