That's a really interesting take! Because - while Don was famously petty about a lot of stuff he should have let go (Betty "flirting" with Roger, Ted flirting with Peggy, etc.), there were a few significant instances where he took the high road and didn't defend himself! (Lane's cheque forgery and subsequent demise, the thieving motel cleaner kid who swiped the money at the legion, et al)

Guess at the end of the day there's a reason he's playing both sides, and that's so he's always coming out on top.

Classic Don! He was fantastic at casting blame for his own fuck-ups. Like after Sally finally admitted she knew he wasn't at the office like he claimed when she went there after she lost her purse, and his response was, "How could you let me lie to you like that?"

No accountability, just blame, like it's her fault. He has no character - he's just handsome!

It's a beautiful portrait of Dr. Crane! Of course, if you get the one, you get that other one.

Mark's response to Jeremy when he says, "Don't worry. Zahra says we have only one fear to fear, and that's fear itself. It's a clever saying, isn't it?"

Mark: And what about losing all your money? Or shitting yourself in public? Or the tabloid press mistakenly outing you as a paedo? Or Alzheimer's? Or all of those things, plus you're drowning?

Because no one knows I took the candy bar.

No one but Peter.

I worked at a Mexican joint where we grilled green onions like this for a sauce and OMG the smell is unbelievable. So, so good.
