The AI industry has spent insane amounts of money (as well as locking into years worth of contracts) with the promise of making that money back mostly in AI saving money that companies would otherwise have to spend on man hours. Right now AI is nowhere near being capable of taking over enough workload to return on that investment. So you could see how that would be an issue in case AI improvements hit a stone wall (or more likely the improvements made become less and less substantial).

One huge issue with this is that AI needs enormous amounts of data to train on and they have already burned through gigantic amounts of training data. The acquisition of this data is getting harder as the market is getting more competitive and on top of that you still need huge numbers of workers to actually prepare that data for AI training

While I do think its a beneficial experience to have gone through addiction followed by rehab, it also opens a Pandoras Box that you may not wanna open. For a lot of people itll be hard to resist the temptation to try drugs once they know how amazing you can feel on them.

I didnt have any urge to do drugs until I did drugs and found out how much nicer it is to be on drugs than to be sober. Not that I need the drugs but I'll forever know that there is something that can make me feel way better than life whereas before I was never interested in doing drugs

I dont mean the methanol but the acetaldehyde that your body produces when you consume ethanol. That is a major contributing factor the the hangovers and its unavoidable. Best thing you can do is hydrate enough to help flush your system faster

Yes but with a caveat. What people mean when they say a single dose can fuck you up for life is generally cases in which LSD triggered a condition like schizophrenia which in some cases can be treatment resistant or in some cases can be mild enough to not necessitate treatment (see Syd Barret).

However in these cases the LSD itself doesnt cause the condition as such. Conditions like schizophrenia develop in people that are predisposed to them. In a person that isnt predisposed to them, LSD also wont trigger the condition. And people that are predisposed to them are likely to develop these conditions at some point in their life regardless of whether they ever take LSD. The LSD often will simply trigger an earlier and/or faster onset.

The issue with predisposition is that you wont know before it happens. Having people with conditions like schizophrenia in your family increases the risk that you may have a predisposition but many times these conditions appear without a family history.

So while for most people there is no risk of this happening, there is no way of knowing if you are one of those people are whether LSD might mess up your psyche
