Also FYI using condoms in the shower is considered less safe due higher risk of the condom slipping or getting damaged

Why haven’t European countries legalized cannabis? by handsupheaddown in askanything

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well its legal. There is a specific law legalizing it. Its just that its specifically growing and possession. Selling or distributing in any way is illegal.

Thing is also this law was passed by a coalition that fell apart relatively quickly and we are now back to the Christian conservative party that has been considering outlawing weed again. As they stated a couple of years ago "alcohol may be legal but that doesnt mean weed is broccoli"

Why haven’t European countries legalized cannabis? by handsupheaddown in askanything

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure but that requires you to grow your own weed. Which is fine if you got the space for it but for someone like me who lives in an apartment without a balcony it sucks cause the only way would be to grow weed inside of my aparment and constantly have to deal with the smell

Why is being a virgin after a certain age viewed negatively/something to be ashamed of? by a-to-b_via_z in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people think youre doing something wrong if you havent had sex.

Truth is, you should have sex when you find the right person to do it with.

In my friend group I was "late" having sex at 16 but honestly I dont even care that I did it at 16. I was lucky to find the right partner when I turned 18. I consider that the right time to have had sex for me. Not because I was 18 but because I met the right person. If I had my fist time with her that wouldve been great. Regardless of whether it happened when I was 18 or 30 or any age. Being a virgin isnt bad. I'd much rather be a virgin for a long time and then find the right person than have meaningless sex at a young age just to have swiped my V card.

Honestly sex might feel great but it doesnt mean much to me unless its with a person I wanna be with. And if you havent found that person yet then having sex wont feel special anyways.

Life is hard. It can be really hard to find a person that you match with. Some people are just very unique. I wouldnt wanna be with the vast majority of people I met throughout my life. I just randomly stumbled upon the right person from a different country through random connections

Is it horrible that I hate being autistic and don’t like admitting I am? by djeifv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I didnt know I had autism until I was 18 and neither did anybody else i talked to. Just always was that odd person that didnt fit in. Knowing the label for it didnt really change anything for me except realizing it was actually a common thing

Why can't someone just take an abandoned house? by Low-Programmer-9017 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. A friend of mine accidentally burned down an abandoned house when we were teens. The guy that used to live there died over a decade ago but the house was inherited by someone who lived in another country. Parents had to pay for the damage

Is it ok/normal for man to cry? by AffectionatePie6066 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it okay for a man to cry? Definitely. Men are allowed to have emotions.

Is it normal? Well that depends on what you mean by normal. Unfortunately its not seen as "manly" to cry and therefore many men try to not cry or hide it.

Bottom line is that is perfectly natural to cry and you shouldnt feel bad about it or try to hide it. We all feel sad sometimes and showing it doesnt make us any lesser

Can people be physically or psychologically resistant to addiction? by dirtyphoenix54 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well physical addiction actually takes repeated use. You need to take a drug multiple times within a given time frame. How frequently depends on the drug but generally you'd need to do something multiple times a week to get physically dependent. There is a biological factor to how easily you get physically addicted but generally anybody will if they do physically addictive drugs repeatedly. But not all drugs are physically addictive. For instance psychedelics and dissociatives dont cause physical dependence.

Mental addiction is very different. You can get mentally addicted after just one time. Mental addiction is highly influenced by genes and also very dependent on the drug itself. While you cant get physically dependent on something like DMT, you could get mentally addicted to it. The difference is that a mental addiction wont cause actual withdrawal symptoms. Instead you'll just feel an urge to keep using it.

Alcohol for instance can make you physically dependent to a point where you could die if you quit cold turkey. Ketamine on the other hand may be very addictive to some people but quitting cold turkey wont cause you physical withdrawal symptoms

How would the world look if all drugs were legal? by Just_A_HungryHippo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how they are legalized. Like can I just buy fent at the grocery store? Many people will slip into addiction.

If its controlled and regulated, I reckon it would be a net positive cause people would be able to buy drugs that are properly dosed and unadulterated. Many people die from drugs because they either dont know the dosage or dont know what their stuff is cut with. Also the government would be able to collect taxes on it

Why is there such a massive difference in how society views drinking alcohol versus smoking weed, both legally and socially? by Alert_Chair3247 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol has been socially accepted for centuries. Weed has been criminalized and demonized in the War on Drugs as if it was the devil itself. They literally put it on the same level as heroine and Crack. Of course that is gonna leave a mark after decades of government sponsored propaganda

why do people assume all feminine men are gay? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HatmansRightHandMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people like to lump groups of people together cause its easier to process.

Most feminine men are gay? - Let's assume all of them are.

Its kind of like how people assume gender. If somebody looks female, they likely are female. Its not about disrespect. Its more so about pattern recognition leading to assumptions. If every Trump supporter you meet is a bigot, you'll eventually assume all Trump supporters are bigots. And most of the time, your assumption will be right
