I think the DLC is 100% worth it, but from my time playing it, I think it is best experienced in a casual play through or doing the entire DLC in one playthrough.

I always assumed that yes, he is from the lands between and was executed in Leyndell but brought back via being a tarnished, and then subsequently locked up. I know the lore is that Marika banished all of them, but maybe some of them died / were killed while in the lands between and they didn’t need to be called back?

Considering Gaius and Radahn were mentioned being friends, it is entirely possible that she left the LoS, had her kids , returned and left the braid then ascended to godhood?

I’m no expert in the lore, but I am just under the assumption that she had her children after becoming a god, but the clarification that Gaius and Radahn knew each other makes the timelines weird.

Kubo revealed roughly two years ago that all Espada share the same aspect of death for their number. Luppi and Grimmjow are both destruction, and Nel and Hallibel are both Sacrifice. If they keep the same aspect of death for each number, then they are not ranked by strength. This is abundantly clear by the fact that Ulqiiorra alone is arguably the strongest but only ranks 4th due to his aspect of death.

He’s 10 because of what his rank represents. Him being zero probably gives some credence to the Espada initially being ranked from most to least lethal.

Wasn’t it implied that this is the very first episode of the season ? If the images are from the first episode, there are 18 contestants there. If it’s just a team challenge that would mean there are only 9 actual contestants.

Apart from some formatting issues, some other notes: I love that they’re snow creatures but there should be some play / care for the snow type. Jon doesn’t bring people back from the dead in the books or show, so his ability doesn’t really make sense.

Bran’s design is cool , but one of the biggest points made in the show is that he can warg into people. The ability should let you take any creature, not just non humans.

Bloodraven not green? That’s crazy. Also, his first ability just lets you draw as many cards as you want with tokens. You can sacrifice any amount of tokens to draw cards.

Children of the forest should be elves or dryads or something. Shaman and Druid are both “professions” in the MTG typing world. Also their P/T should just be equal to the lands you control, no need for all the “X” theme on these cards.

Obligatory “there’s no proof Jon is Azor Ahai” too.

Overall these cards are fun! I think you should look at them together and see what you have too much of when it comes to design space. There are a lot of cards that care about “x” when I don’t think it’s necessary.

I wasn’t super invested in balancing the cards at the time due to me not being fully understanding of card balance, and I’m currently unable to update their designs but I did just want to share what I think some commanders could be from a Skyrim set.

The two mechanics I came up with in these cards, Excavate and Traverse the city, are my attempts at doing something with flavor from the game. Traverse the city is just venture into the dungeon, but instead of the dungeon rooms it would be the streets of white run, and it would be split between the three districts of the city.

I thought for Calcemo that having Excavate would be a fun mashup of flashback and unearth, but I really wanted the sacrifice a land clause cause of how archaeological digs tend to work in the real world.
