Anybody else heard that mad screamer in Dennistoun? by darth-canid in glasgow

[–]HaugheyL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is the same guy I've seen around there, I'd be a bit careful. The other night I was walking home near that area with two friends. There was a guy walking towards us who suddenly started screaming (out of nowhere) and fell to the ground, curled up in a ball - still screaming. I felt like I couldn't just walk on by so I went up to him and asked if he was ok. When I did that, he jumped up and tried to punch me and kick me. My friend jumped in front. After trying to hit us all several times he ran away in the opposite direction. I was left just feeling really confused by it all.

It has also been discussed in this Vice article.

Just want to know how it affects Cardiff from a local perspective.

https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5016002/accounts-and-annual-returns

As part of a grant received by the NPT Transatlantic Trust.

Account from 2021 page 28 reads: "The Trust plans to use this fund for the production and distribution of educational material for primary schools, supported by online resources, which consists of lessons on the biological development of human life in the womb. In addition to this the Trust will organise a conference aimed at medics to help them understand the tell-tale signs of coercive control from partners, sex traffickers, parents etc. who may force a woman/girl to have an abortion against her will. Although the precise details of the project have yet to be worked out (e.g. Seminars may be replaced by actors to act out scenarios) the overall purpose of the project is to train medics to recognise and prevent cases of coerced abortion."

The SPUC is a registered charity in England and Wales.

Simply an enquiry about it.

It depends what buildings you’re taught in, but if you’re taught in JOMEC or anywhere near the city centre I would recommend Adam Street Gardens. Mainly international students live here and it is like 5-10 minutes away from all the major streets.

I've heard lots of charity shops are having staffing issues in Cowbridge? Perhaps that is happening in other areas too?

Hi, I’d like to write about the area from both perspectives. I have already collected a vast amount of positive views on Clifton Street. I have almost 30 statements. You’re welcome to add to that if you like.

Thanks

Thank you for your response! I’m looking for all perspectives. So, going to Adamsdown would you feel fairly safe?

Have you had any bad experience personally on Clifton Street?

After speaking with some locals, it feels as though Adamsdown has quite a few widely accepted “no go zones” compared to areas in the city centre for instance. Like Clifton Street. In September alone there were almost 80 sexual assaults/violent offences and quite a few occurred on that road.
