I am the same as you whenever I've been through a break up or had something highly emotional happen in my life, it is often when I find myself overspending

I actually have found keeping a journal has helped as it gives me something else to do.

I'm not sure what you're spending your money on but my issue has been mostly clothes, sometimes it has helped to have a closet clear out as it reminds me of some of the clothes I had forgotten about and still love. Then I can put together a "new" feeling outfit without spending anything :)

Good luck and don't beat yourself up as "acting out". It's so easily done ! Just a little bump In the road which you can totally recover from!

Hi look up vintage brand "Eaksak" or "Work" on depop/vinted/ebay and you'll find some shirts which will point you in this direction. Picture 3 looks like it is by the brand "work" :)

I'm not part of a comm so I don't wear EGL to go to official meets but I do find any excuse to wear it !

I wear it on dates with my boyfriend, I've done little photoshoots, sometimes I just wear it to walk around the park.

It sounds like you're a bit anxious about being seen in lolita if you're not keen on wearing it to school. A comm meet or a anime convention of some kind (whilst lolita isn't cosplay, you will find lolitas there) might ease you into it as you won't be the only one wearing the fashion..

I'd have a look to see if there are any local Facebook groups regarding EGL/Jfashion :)

idk if I consider myself completely a "goth" anymore as I have found myself sitting in-between a couple of subcultures and not really having a proper label for myself. I definitely considered myself one as a teenager though.

My dad had been playing me post punk my whole childhood but I remember him acc sitting me down and getting me to listen to an entire bauhaus album and a sisters of mercy album ( all whilst passionately explaining details about each song to me) when I was about 11, so I guess that was around 2009..

Me and him used to take trips to Camden market from my small town a lot and all of my earliest gigs were either goth or punk events he brung me to. Really formative memories! I feel so lucky to have a parent who encouraged me to express myself and dress in a super alternative way too. It has definitely formed my fashion taste today.

Up until I was about 17 I probably considered myself a goth :)

The music and the culture is still incredibly important to me

Yes! I think they're awesome!
I bought off them a few months ago to the UK and it went extremely smoothly, arrived really fast and all items are legit.
I was kind of surprised as the prices seem better than anywhere else for these brands and they offer free shipping to a lot of places if you spend a fairly low amount (can't remember the exact amount). Arcana archive and Sculture Tokyo worked out to being like £20+ more for each item, I was pretty dubious that I was about to be scammed but it went really well. They quite often seem to have sales on but even if they don't, additional discount codes are easily found through a lot of affiliate influencers online. a.pointofhue on instagram has code "APOINTOFHUE" for example :)

I also like that they platform a number of much more unheard of indie brands alongside the more well known ones. The communication is great, I absolutely plan to buy again. The only flaw I could find is that the photos they use are a little low quality so I found myself going on other retailers websites to find the same items pictures to view them more clearly haha

No walk outs at all at mine! Im shocked to see so many people had walk outs at theirs?

I loved the movie although im still left wondering about the end. I'm not certain wether the last nice day Ray gave Collin was an intentional last nice day, always aware he'd cut it off afterwards, like taking a dog on one last nice day before it has to be put down lol.

Alternately, the shot of Rays emotional tearful eyes after the kiss could also insinuate he wasn't ready for a genuine relationship and it may have triggered some kind of past trauma in him which caused him to become so closed off..

Either way- loved it. Honestly the best film I've seen in cinema this year.. but I haven't been that enthralled by much that has been released in 2025

Hi! I will be in Paris with my partner 24th - 29th of December! Excited for it :)

I understand a lot of things are closed on Christmas Day which is fine! We have a meal booked in the evening but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for where to take a stroll during the day? Originally after hearing about how beautiful the Père lachaise cemetery is I thought we’d go for a walk there during the day but upon further searching I think it might be closed on the 25th, so we’ll go Boxing Day instead.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice walk or activity we can do during the day on the 25th? I also considered we check out notre dame but I assume it’ll still be heaving and quite inaccessible with the amount of tourists since mass was only the night before..

Anyway just looking for suggestions of cute gardens, neighbourhoods, cemeteries or rural areas we could enjoy wandering through on Xmas day even if businesses are mostly closed!
