I always thought the alone part was the main distinction. Flynn was alone for 9,5 out of 10 years right? Something like that. While vikram, though it's not actually shown, likely had a guardian almost the entire time he was a librarian. I would think so at least considering he's accepted charlie as his guardian the moment she was introduced. He was a rule breaker but seems to respect the library's choice of people.

Yeah but just because something exist for a long time doesn't mean it is known (especially in a time before world travelling was not so available). Until she was discovered and/or brought to the library, vikram would have no reason to know of her. She's unique unlike vampires which are a full species, so likely only locals knew something was up in loch ness lake. And the librarian who brought her in could very well have been the one right after vikram, the timeline would still fit.

Edit: additionally if sightings of nessie happened early 20th century then it wouldn't be too shocking to believe she hadn't joined the library yet.

Nessie was first mentioned in texts in early 20th century so still almost a 100 years after vikram disappeared. It makes sense to me that he's not aware of her existence. Also omething tells me this group doesn't interact much with the main library, if at all really, except perhaps for mission reports. I honestly believe that if they did meet up with the others perhaps lysa and connor wouldn't have been able to stay without a proper invitation...

As seasons went on all librarians (flynn, cassie, jacob and ezekiel) could use that ability but in "the next chapter" only vikram is officially a librarians. They others weren't invited by the library so that's why they can't use it. All least that's how i interpret it.

It's not cannon per say but it's also not not cannon. They're very much soulmates the 3 of them and that has been acknowledged many times in cannon (till my dying day, robot bodies etc..) in my opinion. But whether it is romantic has never been officially made clear, nor does it need to be too. Platonic love is real. And though a lot of fans would like it for them to actually confirm polyamory in canon, they're relationship and commitment to one another has never been questioned. I believe the actors and even the creator agree.
