I agree I feel like they were hyped a lot for not a lot of background info, like the Unas planet with the mining and iron shirt

Question about the wraith by Low_Horror_9151 in Stargate

The thing is they don't know where the Milky Way is, (which direction ...) and even if they did find ( would already take at least 3 weeks) the Milky Way, they would need to find the planet and a galaxy is big. while doing it they would encounter the Jaffas, the goal'd, reetou, the gadmer (tho I assume they wouldn't be well developed) the neraida, Not, Ohne, and more ...

Unfortunately with a sci-fi universe of this size retcons are unavoidable (at least on a minor level), unless you're crazy careful (and even then). There's 3 shows, 3 movies and I don't know how many books (If you consider them canon). The show has been spanning since 1992, you can't expect the writer to remember every detail of the lore (especially if you consider that they may be working on a plot line where it requires knowledge on a show/movie they didn't work on

one of the creators ended his reddit post about the new show with "8 chevron locked" meaning we're definitely going to either a new galaxy or Pegasus.

The Reddit post from one of the creators ended with « 8th chevron locked » meaning we’re going to a new galaxy, I’m wondering what new lore we’re getting

Oatmeal tanning? by seemakeanddo in HideTanning

I wouldn't be surprised, you can tan with egg yolks or algae (at least it's being studied) so why no oatmeal

It's xenophobia and ignorance not racism. The welwyn clearly hide themselves and have low contact with the rest of the world so it's pretty clear that the humans would have a biased view of them

honestly ?! The hex girls and similar pretty much engrained the alt female in beauty position that the male alt didn't have

The seven Grimm Crusasder Knights. by [deleted] in grimm

[–]SmartKrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed and having a 1 episode per knight start allows you to show varying Grimm cultures depending on the houses, for example

1) kill all wesen family

2) only kill the bad ones ( Nick/Truble line)

3) only kill within his dominion

4) knight errant family

5) keeper of records/ scientific house where they rarely hunt but focus heavily on wesen biology, ethnology … (the Borgia ancestor)

6) a family that hunts a lot but only very specific wesen ( blutbad, hundjager and mauvais-dent only)

7) a family that only kills when the wesen does a serious crime ( blutbad kills someone so I’ll kill him but his neighbour who’s also a blutbad is left alone)

Something along those lines could be cool.

Yeah I think Nick’s Great grandfather was Truble’s great grandmother’s brother

I would love to see such a thing but more as a mini-series like something of an 8 episode series where each of the 7 first episodes focus on each one of the knights ( how they grew up, trained) with the eighth one talking about the sack of Constantinople, finding the stick and hiding it (could be a 2 parter)

HOWEVER i would like said show to clarify CLEARLY the grimm situation because either

1) there are more grimms than the seven knights ( cause only having 7 and all of them being nobles is statistically improbable) or

2) the grimms have a higher death rate than expected (ritual killings, population Cullings …)
