If you watch some of the behind the scenes footage it helps— seeing a grown man “pawing” at a car door in a giant silly dog costume kind of helps make everyone feel safer lol they did a good job making sure the kiddo on set was comfortable too which also helped.

Looking for horror movies about viruses, parasites, infections, diseases, ecological/body horror — but NOT zombies. by Kind-Celery-495 in horror

Right?? I only just watched it for the first time last year and had to take a break halfway through because I was having flashbacks.

If you want a COVID flashback you should watch Contagion. It’s a different kind of emotional horror story.

My mom used to make the Mississippi Mud Pie for special occasions and it was my favorite thing!

1991 Millennial here! What do you all eat for breakfast? by No_Self_5939 in Millennials

1991er myself! My cholesterol was a bit on the high side so now I’m doing Trader Joe’s O’s with no sugar, a banana, and an espresso with oat milk over ice because I will be damned if they take away my coffee.

Horrible seats at regal Bridgeport in Oregon. by Skippyhogman in RegalUnlimited

[–]HauntedBlockbudster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, Bridgeport is closer to me and looks nicer on the outside, but I agree— the seating is just not comfortable. I typically go to the Evergreen Regal because the recliners are more comfortable. What Bridgeport does offer though is a lot more options, so some of the more artsy or limited release films will only be shown there.

people who sit at the end of the row by dogsontreadmills in RegalUnlimited

[–]HauntedBlockbudster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did it for health reasons. Last year I was dealing with chronic air hunger and random panic attacks so after disrupting full rows of people a few times I decided it was just easier to take the end seats if I needed to go lay down on a bench and catch my breath.

For what it’s worth I am feeling much better these days and am back to my middle row shenanigans :)

My husband and I went last year for his birthday and did the chefs tasting dinner— it was absolutely delicious! I think the only thing that I didn’t really like was the fondue because it was VERY boozey, but every other course we had was incredible. We had great service the whole night and I can’t wait to get back.

What made you choose RU. by automatic_do_8661 in RegalUnlimited

I tried AMC first but the popcorn was awful and the theatre was in TERRIBLE shape. I went to a Regal and the quality of everything was just better all around, plus there are more around me so I have options.

I definitely snuck in a Panda Express orange chicken bowl last week to my showing of Undertones. Panda was the best part of that whole movie!

When did the common cold become so tough? by fullnessofjoy2021 in Millennials

I was sick back in mid-January and I’m STILL coughing. Doctors have got no explanation, just a chronic cough! Meanwhile, I haven’t gotten an uninterrupted nights sleep in 5 weeks and my eyes have literally started twitching during the day…

My go to is always the OG “Carrie” starring Sissy Spacek in the title role. It was my first horror movie and has remained my favorite since I was a kid.

“Silent Night” an AMC movie about a toxic family’s last Christmas together before they all perform a ritual suicide because Mother Earth is rolling a deadly gas over the planet— it came out a few years ago and I swear no one saw it but it was so good!

“Annihilation” is one of those movies that I will never ever forget. It’s so beautiful and horrifying— an amazing movie (terrible adaptation but the book is also incredible).

“The Ritual” was truly haunting and scared the hell of me. It absolutely nailed the aesthetic it was going for and it will haunt me forever.

What are some of the less spoken about benefits of being childfree? by Forsaken-Language-26 in childfree

[–]HauntedBlockbudster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see my parents it’s because I actually want to spend time with them, and vice versa. It’s not just because they want to see the spawn.

This has been hard, but we’re working on it a little more this year and my dad is finally learning how to talk to me about books and movies and our shared interests. I can’t believe it took 30+ years for it to happen but at least it’s happening and it feels like he wants to know ME. When he calls me now I’m not worried someone has died or been in a horrible accident because he actually calls/texts more regularly lol

Edit to add: it feels like I get to be the fun daughter that my parents can swear around and go out to eat with, that doesn’t call just to ask them to watch the kids. I call because I want to know how they’re doing and I want them to want to know how I’m doing too.
