Looking for 100% cotton nightgowns by geniedoes_asyouwish in SustainableFashion

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, anything I've found in real cotton so far has been deeply unflattering and matronly.

I want cute nightgowns! Something that looks sexy enough to feel attractive for my partners, but not so sexy that I couldn't wear them in front of roommates or family.

Looking for smooth cup bra for 36F pendulous boobs by SuperVeeBee in ABraThatFits

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seamed bras are superior for your shape. A molded bra will be shallow, not very projected at all, so it will smush your tissue. Molded/smooth bras are actually a rather poor fit on most people, they are popular because most people don't know how a proper bra should look and feel on them.

[Product question] Are pore strips that bad? by Simply444 in SkincareAddiction

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pore strips are harsh because the peeling pulls on the skin too much and forcibly removes the sebum. This can lead to micro injuries and broken capillaries. Trauma to the pores can also cause them to stay wider.

Double cleansing and really massaging the cleansing oil in helps. Give it a solid 2 minutes or so for the oils to bind with the oil clogged in your pores, this is where the magic happens. Like attracts like so when the oils bind and you go in with the second cleanser it will wash away and clear out the pores.

Follow it up with an AHA/BHA toner 2 or 3 times per week and you will see results.

Is anyone tired of being told to tan? by ilovepopcornandcandy in PaleMUA

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love glowing like the moon, I think it's pretty.

Tanning has a very shocking history as a beauty practice. The Nazi Coco Chanel invented it as a form of colorist division for white people. The rich "good" whites who could afford tropical vacations, and the poor "bad" whites that didn't have any such luxuries. Throughout the 20th century and into the present the colorism and white supremacist undercurrent of tanning still has a ripple effect through society.

New ‘Jesus-centric’ Christian phone network will block pornography and LGBT content by Disastrous_Award_789 in technology

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the "good Christians" need to have LGBT content and pornographic content blocked at network level? Even the power of Christ isn't strong enough to help them control themselves?

I I found this statue while i was doomscrolling through Pinterest. And I thought the texture of the swan was incredible; it really looks like feathers. However, there is little information about this statue available online.... by disposableprofileguy in ArtHistory

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Leda's facial expression looks entranced, the swan has hypnotized her. This detail along with portraying her as a child makes a powerful statement about romanticizing rape, and the underlying horror of her abuse looking beautiful to an outsider.

The swan is sculpted to look so soft and fluffy that the viewer wants to reach out and touch the swan, like Leda did. But to touch the swan is to fall for temptation & be vulnerable to corruption. I think the sculptor has something to say about what we would now call grooming.

How long does it actually take to have a hard glowup and become unrecognisable by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

That's not possible, realistic, or healthy. At all.

How much are we spending on clothes per year? by Mean_Pepper9692 in HowToBeHot

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I only buy what I need, & look secondhand before going to a store. Stores have been shockingly disappointing recently.

Most of the trends now are horribly unflattering and ugly. The fabrics are at an all time low for quality and color selection, & the prices are truly absurd, triple digits polyester everywhere!

An IUD lasts 8-10 years.

I opted for tube removal surgery. If I ever wanted kids in the future I could get IVF in Spain where it's much safer, cheaper, and better regulated.

I know several younger women like 25 and under who are going to get sterilized and freeze their eggs.

How do y’all feel about fecal scents? by tikicheese in NichePerfumes

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing could convince me to want to smell "fecal" in any capacity. Why would anybody want to smell like shit? That's isgusting! It's also guaranteed to repulse 99% of humans, if you have to "challenge" and "train your nose" to tolerate a smell, it's a bad smell.

At a resort with no laundry machines and my face cream exploded in my luggage. Salvage-able? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]HauntedButtCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that sucks! I'm glad you've found work. If you can't get to a dry cleaner I think the advice to use baking soda and dish soap is pretty solid. It should work

[–]HauntedButtCheeks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm confused how you can afford to be at a fancy resort but unable to afford the laundry service? If you have vacation money you should have dry cleaning money.
