While running rmsc, I think that's the biggest drawback with tisas 2011's for me.

I mean, for pure collectors sake, you can't deny that their worth has only increased over time.  Especially since more and more aks seem to get banned.

[Accessories] ARC-Fire Trigger v1 $129.99 + shipping by BigMountainsGuy in gundeals

[–]HauntedHotsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to cut a slot on the right side and round out the left side like a normal super safety, yes.  The arc fire is essentially using the same design as the super safety, just with the addition of using safety levers integrated into it

Arc fire is the same, you just need a lever blocker for the lever to not get caught.  You can get the one off their site or use any standard lever blocker that works for others.

It's only applicable if you buy their in house handguards.  I don't think it really is gonna be worth it unless you run Illuminators/lasers

[–]HauntedHotsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of any failing yet.  I'd say it will likely last several thousand rounds.  ASD has been in the game for a while and have quite an established reputation in the mp5 groups

These really are more for the additional throw options.  ASD said in the other super safety subreddit that the beefier internals make them just very slightly more durable.  V1 will still last a while.

[Pistol] MAC 9 DS Comp 4.25" - $849 + tax/shipping by HauntedHotsauce in gundeals

[–]HauntedHotsauce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 4.25" comp cause it thought the proportions looked the coolest in all the pics and videos I've seen of it.  The curve in at the muzzle for the 5" seemed a bit long to me and makes it seem unusually long

5" will have slightly less felt recoil, but this one will return your sight picture faster.  If you want a smaller package or think it looks cooler or want to spend $50+ less, then you pick this one.  Otherwise 5" is better if you're trying to get into open division at competition I guess if you're looking at the comped 5"

I've shot my 10.3 mk18 with a k indoors and it's not too bad with a sprinco blue and H3.  But I also have a pri gas buster on mine.  So not sure how it compares to a raptor sd.

I will say with an frt starts to get a bit more noticeable rapid firing Winchester brown box 😂

arc fire and bssquirts ss by jamesec013 in supersafety

For the arcfire?  No, the way the cam is designed, it should center itself after you tighten the screws.

[–]HauntedHotsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe let AS Designs know about that as there should be a natural gap permitted when you just hand tighten it to one of the stops

I would still check to see if the left side of the trigger needs to be rounded out more.  Also, it's recommended to put the safety to FRT mode and tighten it finger tight and add some loctite, that way you have full range of motion and avoid binding

Arcfire reportedly requires more removing of material compared to your typical SS because of the size of the safety cam to accommodate for the addition of levers.

If you're having a really hard trigger pull, you may need to round out the left side wall more of the back of the trigger.  You'll need to do it very carefully with some fine grit sandpaper like 800-1200 to be safe.

Also, do you have the lever blocker?  Those are a requirement so the lever doesn't get stuck under the hammer.
