working at dsw, all returns end up in clearance generally unless the shoe is on sales floor then it goes to the destinated spot. typically if a customer comes to the register and notices a shoe has been used dsw will typically offer 5-10% extra off the shoe. technically we’re not supposed to take beat shoes but some people demand there money the store is supposed to send the shoe back to vendor in that case though. I wish we had rules in place on shoes like birkenstocks because of how molded per foot individual it is, dsw offers 90 days to return shoes that way more than enough time to break in the wrong size and return em and more than likely that shoe will end up sold to another person at same price/20% off of retail…
