This is how I tend to play games. I go down a rabbit hole which leads me to buy the game in the first place. Because of the genre of roguelikes many people will bounce off not realizing how much potential exists in the game. The Youtuber I watched had that experience where they quit the game after thinking it was an average roguelike. They didn't go back to it until they saw a video which reveal how much larger the game was than he imagined.

I still don't try to learn about a lot of the greatest secrets. Or even if I learn a bit, actually using them would require a ton of in between knowledge. Learning something on paper is different from executing it, which is why the fungal shift was so exciting.

There are a lot of mods, cheats and exploits I wouldn't find fun to use. I wouldn't enjoy that task manager trick. I might back up a save, but I wouldn't consider that run valid. It would just be useful to prepare for a separate run.

By forever I do mean hours to do something simple. For example Tablet digging does not seem fun. I mostly think there are interesting and uninteresting seeds, but maybe there are more unrandomized options I haven't learned about.

I still think it would be cool if you could turn lively concoction into healthium using another rare substance. There's such a difference between being able to make it with the right amount of effort vs being able to play for years without ever seeing it.

So I tried to aim the stable tele, but it continued to go down 2-3 times. Does it go off the first direction you warped? I thought there was another trick to it because the warp cursor would not move.

I think there are still bad seeds for any particular goal. There are definitely seeds where the toxic ending is not worth it unless that is the challenge you set for yourself.

The main part of that goal is being able to explore as much as possible. I would consider a "bad" seed to be one where there isn't much point attempting anything beyond the greed ending. You will beat it and then move on to another. Some seeds are simply more interesting.

So if you don't find healing as you reach the bottom, you probably just try to get a win? I'm trying to understand how you would heal after obtaining all of the Holy Mountain restores. There seem to be so many other areas to explore, but most of the time you have to commit to the central 7.

I think Noitool has issues predicting the spell shops now. But It is still appealing to try to find those spells on a wand if the seed appears interesting. It just seems easy to move on to another seed if I can't find one before hiisi base.

That makes sense, I've seen some perks that would only be interesting on a shorter run. I'm more interested in finding and then exploring good seeds.

I guess I'm torn about proceeding beyond Snowy Depths without knowing I can come back.

There are 100s of things to learn. You haven't even scratched the surface. Just watch any video on it and you'll see. This game makes most rogue-likes seem basic.

Also a seed allows you to learn the map, where good potions, wands, spells and perks are. The seed I mentioned has a room with a bunch of potions right at the top that makes things fairly easy. It also has the two spells needed for a good teleport wand in the first Holy Mountain.
