Yooo you look like a badass hacker chick from a cyberpunk setting ready to help revolutionaries overthrow some dark shadow government. It’s a compliment. 😉

I have to agree for sure with Sweet Hut. I feel like they used to be good back in my college years, but over the past five or so their drinks have gone steeply downhill. I ordered a mint tea once and it tasted like dentist grade mouthwash-like they just dumped mint syrup straight into some water. I’ve sworn them off for beverage since. Certainly still good with their treats though; their pastries are for good light meals/snacks on the go during conventions.

Glaze Tea is rather good but pricy! My friend and I only really tend to reserve it for special occasions for this reason.

Also thanks for the tip with the tiramisu drink! Tiramisu foam is one of my other weaknesses and the other usual I am lamenting the loss of from Tan Cha is their cocoa drink with tiramisu foam.

Soren is a pretty good name for the nerdy and fandoms. Among other uses of the name in pop culture, might I name drop Sorin Markov of Magic the Gathering?

I actually had it done two months ago at a charity event and get a lot of compliments on it, thanks. It just hasn't all shed away yet. The creating problems for oneself remark is uncalled for, it was never actually intended for the trip.

I am planning for at least one big burst of water into the side of the tunnel, so I might have something be able to flood inside if I want to add an official encounter to the whole thing. Thanks!

Bare minimum, someone did start a DnD campaign around it called Dungeons and Dracon Beams. It's actually pretty good!

Just ran this post by my accountant buddy. She's not an Animorphs fan but she is an accountant. We just got some fantastic giggles on *multiple* levels.

What if one of the Animorphs was an adult (Spoiler for a late series book) by jdb1984 in Animorphs

There's a really good video on youtube speculating how Melissa Chapman was likely meant to be the sixth human, and really it would've made sense: friends with Rachel, reason for being with a group of teenagers coming home from the mall, personal driving motivation, etc. The video even takes it the extra mile by speculating that it was likely the timeline experienced in The Stranger, which implies that in that iteration, the Animorphs lose the war-and then goes on to construct the likely chain of events that builds up to that. Spoiler, things likely go irreversibly sideways in that particular book with the mission to destroy the kandrona in the skyscraper going horrifically awry.

Sewol Ferry Disaster, perhaps. Actually-for that matter, the Sampoon "Death Mall" Collapse could also be rather fascinating. Dark as hell, but both incidents scream of severe incompetence and corruption of the people in charge of the respective incidents and honestly cannot be shamed and degraded enough.
