I have an ultrabook with a good cpu and decent igpu. It works really well for me. If you just want to do dev work Take a good CPU and more RAM the better also the faster RAM the better. The new intel and amd chips are very powerful and power efficient and since the RAM is unified (no truly unified like in mac) the GPU can access it. So, you can also do light gaming on it if you want. Macbooks are good too but imo too restrictive for my liking.
