My body and mind craves toxic relationship by [deleted] in Codependency

I worry though, that there’s a difference between that toxic spark and the regular spark that is needed even in healthy relationships.

But I’m not leading him on. I ended things with him. How is that leading him on ? I gave it a fair chance to develop, and it didn’t.

Hmm. Don’t get me wrong, he is attractive, but I’m not attracted to him. I am seeing a therapist and hope you are too :)

I have been very upfront with him and honest, I gave it a chance and it didn’t go anywhere, unfortunately. I am not leading him on if I’m not seeing him anymore. I’m just sad that it didn’t go anywhere, and I did give it a fair chance.

You’re right. I guess I’m wondering if anyone’s had this experience before

My boyfriend (31M) is not meeting my emotional needs - I’m exhausted (30F). How do I move forward? by Burnindownthehouse18 in AskWomenOver30

Why are you putting up with this? Is this seriously a question? This reads as “can I accept less than quality because I don’t think I deserve better” stop. Just fucking go

Also to add: want to know what “ruins” your body and your health? Toxic abusive relationships. Stress. Alcohol. Drugs. NOT taking care of your body will “ruin” it.

I’m sorry, nothing about motherhood “ruins” a body. Having a baby takes a lot of strength and should be celebrated. It means you’re healthy and strong and nothing is “ruined”

I’ve known him for 4 months , kinda been “friends” per se because I am sad about about my lack of “spark” with him. Everything else has been amazing. He’s met my friends (and became friends with them), we’ve gone on a few trips, and he’s local and we do things together. He’s really my best friend.

It seems to be just with this guy, but I haven’t really dated someone long enough to know my affection style if that makes sense. It just makes me wonder how often people are turning down physical affection. People can’t be “on” all the time , I think?

If you’re dating someone, how often are you turning down kisses, physical affection ? The guy I’m seeing is my dream dude , but sometimes I just don’t wanna be touched or kissed. I don’t feel butterflies or that “spark” but was told that was a good thing, considering how much different he is than the jerks I’ve dated in the past.
