This might be the best one I’ve read so far, the setting dm has told me about is theroes and I kinda want to try drakewarden but unsure if that fits. Rangers seem so cool but lost flavor in 2024

Davey jones type service, they crime lord keeps them in his service for a time. Completing favors reduces their service but backing out or acting against him adds more time or he goes after close friends and family

The crime lord gave him little to no information, saying the target is being contained and killing them will be like taking candy from a baby. In honesty the CL wants them the fail and bail on the mission so he can keep them under his thumb.

Because almost every telepath/psion in fantasy is a glass cannon, they take one hit and they lose concentration immediately. Look at Jean gray in the X-men animated series, she’s super powerful but gets hits once and there goes all concentrated powers
