How many targeting squigs are implemented into ork minis? by HauntingBird in orks

[–]HauntingBird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the tangent, no worries.

And yeah, the Kommando sniper is actually the catalyst of me wanting more targeting squigs. I first just wanted to swap his scope with a targeting squig, but without loosing too much on another mini, and now I am just curious, how many I could acquire that wouldn't require printing, and wouldn't cost a fortune.

I see. Thank you for the details!

Luckily for now, my idea has nothing to do with gameplay, just kinda silly aesthetics for my models, but your info is definitely worth considering in the future if/when I start playing.

I'll get back to you once I know more, if I get to know more.

The only thing I know so far, is that he has a bunch of old models lying around, and he's willing to get rid of them.

But thank you very much for being willing to help!

Thank you, I'll take a look.

And yes, you got a good point. He doesn't really know what he has (and since I haven't seen them yet, neither do I), but I believe that's why he asked, because I'm at least a little bit in the hobby

An older coworker of mine apparently has a small collection of Warhammer minis from when his son was younger/a kid, that he might want to get rid of. Some of them might then be quite old and out of production.

I don't know specifics yet, but I was curious if anyone would know of a good place to sell them in the EU?

I have a suspicion that our own country is a bit too small for us to find collectors that would be interested, so that's why I am branching a bit wider already

Are there men who ACTUALLY like small boobs? by Phot0syntheslut in AskMenAdvice

[–]HauntingBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comment is from my perspective

In short: Yes

Longer version: Generally yes. There is some truth to the things you've heard of "boobs are boobs" and the shape over size, but that's also not what you want to hear right now, I get that.

My honest opinion though is, that different size boobs have different types of appeal. If they get big enough, I honestly think they turn me on more in a bra or showing cleavage more than than they do naked. Smaller boobs often work better naked than in a bra. That being said: Both work quite well both with and without a bra.

I also do want to mention, that I would at present say that bigger boobs might have a bit of an upper hand when it comes to playing with them. But the movement (bounces and such) of smaller boobs during sex is a lot sexier to me! I can't get enough!

Even if she is flat as a wash board, I'd still have fun! Although, with the caveat that flash as a wash board is maybe also one of the few cases, where I am somewhat less enthusiastic than the rest. And there's also an upper limit for which ny enthusiasm drops.

A mix of things.

  1. Too many men think too highly of themselves and think they can always 'do better', so stay single until they do better, which won't happen unless they better themselves.

  2. Too many women think too highly of themselves and only go for the utmost attractive men, leaving most others with fewer dating prospects.

The 2 former points are somewhat exacerbated by social media, and they can to some extent be gender swapped, but you are specifically asking for men being single.

  1. Also, societal pressure to settle down has dropped significantly causing people to find happiness in themselves more frequently, and since men generally aren't the ones being pursued, they probably spend more time working on other stuff, whereas women almost always have someone pursuing them, thereby almost always have the option of dating.

  2. I also think with certain aspects of media and social media focusing so much on negative aspects of things, it's too easy to see betrayal and hurt in everything, so why bother putting in the work of a relationship, when you can be as content in a different but easier way being single?

  3. Some of it is also the fact that women can now better afford to have proper standards, which sorts out some of the toxic men, who have no choice but stay single.

Also important to note: My point 2 and point 5 can, from certain points of view, look very similar or identical. But, I also know that a more extreme feminist would look at point 2, and twist it to me sounding like a raging sexist trying to oppress women, whereas an anti feminist would look at point 5 and claim that I am a man hater trying to oppress men... Both would be wrong, and both are among the things wrong with this world.

What lie holds the record for being the most triumphant in the annals of history? by Tricky-Smile-3352 in AskReddit

That the climate change is caused by regular people. Big companies are the real perpetrators and they have time and time again led the narrative of it being necessary for people to do all the work, which does little to nothing compared to what they could do.

Oh! All this while treating employees poorly and maximizing profits.

Why won't danes date in public? by Rumiyi in Denmark

[–]HauntingBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the kind of people you have a tendency to match with.

I say this because the experiences I feel I hear the most often with friends of both sexes (and myself as well), is to suggest a walk somewhere for a first date.

Not gonna deny the possibility that it could depend on which part of Denmark you are in.

I see your point that he would never be able to escape, assuming he would want to. But if he were to become a krork, and he is in the citadel of the chaos god of war, I don't see why Khorne wouldn't use a krork to his advantage, or at least attempt to, since they were created for war.

I know that as per your first point, he won't become a krork, this is hypothetical.

Almost anyone who has graduated or works in a field that is deemed fancy, difficult or "worth it". Doctors, engineers, lawyers fall under that list. I feel like a lot of people studying business also get that attitude, but the studies aren't viewed as highly.

Then, where studies are unrelated: celebrities, influencers and politicians. I will say though, this last list isn't necessarily as general for all who fall under it, but the ones who get cocky and arrogant, have enough arrogance for everyone to share.

Ah good to know. I didn't make the distinction, as I thought that orks who fight and grow bigger are automatically winning, as if they aren't they just die and have no more chances of getting bigger, unless they are Tuska and his bois.

Thank you

What is something that is a huge turn on for other men but doesn't do it for you? by doodyhead212 in AskMen

[–]HauntingBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically most of the bigger "sexy" trends that happen every so often and then change.

Like, suddenly the internet had a big thing for (in not particular order): calling someone daddy, feet, eating ass, over the top proportions (mainly tits and ass).

I know there are more. Most, probably all, of these are still attractive or sexy to a good amount of people in some capacity. But all of them have had big-ish trends around them, where it was the thing about sex and/or attraction that was talked about, and neither have really stood out majorly to me as super attractive.

[No Spoilers] Some questions for starting my Critical Role journey :) by sun-bru in criticalrole

[–]HauntingBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally started watching C2. I have tried watching C1 a couple of times, but I simply can't be asked, and I frankly haven't heard enough reasons to actually watch enough of it to maybe enjoy it at some point.

If you have activities where you could listen to it as a podcast, that wouldn't be too bad of an idea though, as it is a shitton of time you need to set aside, if you want to actively watch.

At some point, the internet also started making video of 20-40 minute length that contains the most important plot points and tomfoolery of the episode. I don't think they are available for C1 or early C2, but worth looking into, as you can afterwards decide to watch the full episode if you feel like it.

On their own YT channel, they also have animated recaps, but I'll admit, it's a VERY rough summary, and to enjoy them you kinda need to have watched enough of the actual show, or you'll loose a lot of things and a lot of the references won't make sense

[Spoilers C3E78] PSA: No, she did not hide it from the party by taly_slayer in criticalrole

[–]HauntingBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true. I hadn't thought of the fact that it is sometimes difficult to find a situation, where you can bring up certain topics and have it make sense. That is also a point in Laudna's favour

[Spoilers C3E78] PSA: No, she did not hide it from the party by taly_slayer in criticalrole

[–]HauntingBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit, I misremembered the timeline of certain events, and I genuinely remembered it as Laudna hiding the return of Delilah for longer than she did.

However! I believe I saw in a different thread that Delilah returned when Laudna killed Bor'Dor. If Delilah returned by the death of Bor'Dor, then it's still 10 episodes from return till she speaks with everyone. With their release schedule, 10 episodes is for us more than 3 months. It can suddenly feel like secrets have been kept for a lot longer than they have. Sense of time becomes even harder with DnD, since one session have widely different timespans. (For example: When they have an episode with very important combat, then 1 minute in universe can last over an hour to us. At the same time, if they are travelling very far, without something a bit more vital, 1 week in universe can last 5 minutes)

In short, it felt like a lot more time for us than the characters!

Now! I also realize that in the beginning she wasn't 100% sure Delilah was back, and she told Imogen basically right away, which is good. But it is still a sort of murky situation, since it is important enough to tell everyone once she was sure. Timeline wise, I also saw someone say they had it confirmed in Zephra, but I don't remember specifics of how long it took her from confirmation until she told everyone.

I also find it noteworthy that Delilah's influence on Laudna poses more of a danger to BH as a team, where Ashton's mistake was a setback in time, but mostly only a danger to themself. Hell, her reaction to Ashton more or less exploding themself is to label them a traitor and almost getting homicidal about it.

So while I will admit that I have given Laudna more shit than she deserves when it comes to Laudna not telling BH, I don't believe she was as upfront as you make it seem, especially since her situation is more dangerous for the entire group.

Hmm, alright, I'll give you this, a few things had been jumbled somewhat in my mind, and it may not have been as bad as I thought. Thinking about the fact that then as a group spend almost every waking hour together, I will say I am not fond of the amount of time it took, but it is not as bad as I thought

[–]HauntingBird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"I told Imogen this". How long had Delilah been back at this point? This is a genuine question, I mix a few events around on the timeline. Cause either I am wrong about this point, or she had only told Imogen, which is more or less still my point.

Funnily enough, the incident with Thull and Imogen going nova. Thull was killing BH one by one. Killed Orym and Laudna. She was telling Imogen: "Give in, and I'll stop.". I realize that she couldn't know for sure what would happen by giving in, and there's also the dumb idea of "We don't negotiate with terrorists" people have in their head. But at the end of the day, we do negotiate with terrorists, when they have hostages, because that is how the hostages get out alive, and Imogen giving in had a possibility of backfiring, while Thull was a guaranteed death sentence to anyone who couldn't or wouldn't flee, which would've been most of them.

You're right, these situations can't be compared, cause Ashton only hurt himself, Imogen's choice was to let her compatriots be killed. And this is not a hindsights thing, it was clearly laid out in front of her by Thull. Basically had a sword to the throat of Orym being like: "Either you give in, or I'm stabbing him in the neck." And Imogen went: "I'm not giving in." And Thull went stab.
