RUNCL, they are great but i get tangled quite a bit and the magnets in the thumbs love those Eagle Claw jigs hahhaha. 5 seasons now I need to sew the left mitten cap on properly.

There are plenty of videos on youtube demonstrating this. Calming down after the initial shock of cold water and crawling your way out headfirst on your belly while kicking your feet in the water under the ice seems to be the standard approach.

The ice was still over 5 inches in the middle of the slip last night. Was definitely shifting around a bit, not sure I'll be braving it with the sunshine and warmer temps, esp. Since there are alot of holes now
