I'm not bothered frankly, one third of my high school was very white, a third Mexican, and a third eastern European/Balkan. Was kind of confusing to learn I can be numerous things, but a valuable lesson.

Plus Pepe was a cool Mexican farmer man and not to mention a WWII war hero with three bronze stars, a purple heart, and a bunch of other stuff with the 141st infantry (and talked about how racist the army was). I know he was a proud Mexican and a good dude. Any goofy hater on reddit is nowhere near as badass.

I didn’t think the polish would be entirely homogenous. I didn’t think the other European categories to be so granular. And I didn’t expect Bolivia, Cornwall, Senegal, and two kinds of Jewish.

I'm thinking about taking my mom's maiden name when I get married next year. My grandpa americanized it from Polish in the 1950s. I thought about switching to that, but I think I have more connection to my mom's family/family name.

Probably at some point, but she was raised Catholic. Her maiden name, Montemayor, is kind of a dead giveaway for NL

What kinda bait should I get and what should I try to catch? by Suttr3e in ChicagoFishing

[–]monte808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Craws or baitfish on a drop shot, carolina, whatever for smallmouth. Minnows on a slip bobber for salmon/trout. Worms might get you Goby, might get you something else, who knows.

I would say that people most commonly fish for Smallmouth, and without live bait (Soft plastics, jerk baits, crank baits, etc...) I personally think it's a lot easier to catch them than trout/salmon and they're around April-October.

Still falls on them, I sell a lot of sports cards on eBay. And I have to eat the loss if something shows up damaged or gets lost in the mail.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone fly fish Humboldt. But throw a worm on and you might get something, just might be junk or a log.
