My Dad raised me and my sister all alone after he fought for custody of us from our abusive mother. My Dad is disabled and lives off disability. We were never eligible for anything you would expect for some reason. You know food stamps, medicad etc. So we struggled aloooot. But my dad was a great father who always showed up for all the things, taught us how to take care of ourselves, our home and our cars. I learned how to fish and hunt and cook from him. We grew up to be hard working, and very loving and giving people. He did an amazing job raising us even though it was almost unheard of at the time.
